Benji Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Ok so I don't know how many of you remember but in the first year of Foxestalk I ran a fantasy football league, it went pretty well but the workload was just too much, I had no idea about website databases and so was saving time only through Microsoft Excel formulas. Now though I have the help of my brother who knows it well and so i'm looking at doing it all properly, waste my summer kind of thing. I'm just waiting on a reply from the FL regarding any legal issues regarding teams and players but other than that my main issue now is numbers; Mark has kindly shown interest in allowing it as a FoxesTalk exclusive competition. I think there were 50 involved last time and I rejected another 20 due to workload, but i'd need a few more than that if I was to cover domain payments for the year. Depending on numbers I'd expect a fee of no more than £1 each if not cheaper and any deficit would go towards the prizes, with 15,000 members i'd hope at least 150+ This would be pretty unique, I struggled to find a proper one for the Championship let alone League 1. So at the moment it's in the first stages but I need to know what the interest will be like...
Benji Posted 16 June 2008 Author Posted 16 June 2008 OK at the minute i'm at a stop I emailed the FL and they wern't very encouraging, basically said not to make such a website because of copyright issues Unfortunately i don't have enough time to do it all manually without a website so unless I can find a way around it then this probably wont go ahead.
isaidno Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Nearer the start of the season, I will start a league, the same way as Dan did for the Championship last season. I'm happy to keep score.
