Howard Webb sent home

UEFA has also stated that the referee teams led by Fröjdfeldt, Vassaras, Rosetti, Mejuto, Micheľ, Busacca, Fandel and De Bleeckere will all stay on for the semi-finals, meaning the departure of the officials from Austria, England, the Netherlands and Norway. The appointments for the remaining three games in the tournament will be announced in due course.

It was his first major tournament. Maybe he will get further at the next one or maybe even the World Cup?! :scarf:

So thats 2 English ref's sent home from the last 2 major international tournaments.

Well done chaps, you've done us proud.

Least the officials got there. The football team didn't if you remember

They're officials though, we've learnt to loathe them.

To be honest, I haven't been updating my screen name and creating blogs on the performance of the english officials as I would with the team. I'm going to go to all my mates and say 'you watch Howard webb last night?' No.

I didn't think he did that bad a job actually. The one controversial decision he made he got right in my opinion.

I suppose he will be a little disappointed that he didn't stay on.

Although, the Poles saw what we have to put up with week in week out. :giggle:

Hello to everyone.

Well, I am a Pole, and I've got to say that almost all of us(including our prime minister) want to kill Webb

I think that his controversial decision was wrong, but I also think that the goal for Poland was wrong too(there was an offside). Webb's return to home makes me happy.

Sorry for my English.

Yes, but unfortunately I've never been to England. :frusty: LCFC isn't popular in my country, but I support Foxes and I'm planning a trip to Leicester :scarf: I heard about City in Internet(I read some history, watched some clips of Muzzy Izzet :D ), and I realised that this is my favourite team :D Strange, but real :D

You can say that again. Choosing to support Leicester :P

It was wrong when you consider he and all other refs let that kind of thing go all the time in premier league.

That does not mean it is wrong. Read the LOTG and you will see that it is a penalty.

The officials had been told by UEFA to clamp down on that and, after he'd already warned them about doing it, the Poland player continued it.
