Take that on board for next season .
Sparky Posted 4 April 2005 Author Posted 4 April 2005 i love a 3-5-2 formation if u got the right personel but most great teams of the past used 4-4-2 . im not sure best and cruff would have been great wing backs
shen Posted 4 April 2005 Posted 4 April 2005 GK - Schmeichel (maybe a little bias ) DR - Cafú ? (my knowledge of pre-1990 rightbacks is very bad) DC - Beckenbauer DC - Baresi DL - Maldini MR - Ardiles MC - Platini MC - Socrates ML - Cruyff FC - Maradona FC - Müller
Sparky Posted 4 April 2005 Author Posted 4 April 2005 good choices shen , ardiles and gurd muller were awesome players
Tomassi Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 Shilton Cafu - Beckenbauer - Moore - Maldini Matthews - Maradona - Socrates - Cruyff Pele - Lineker
Random Burglar Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 Lineker! Legend but dont think greatest!! Whether on back of my England shirt or not!!
Tomassi Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 Lineker! Legend but dont think greatest!! Whether on back of my England shirt or not!! 87994 he is a leicester lad!! so is shilton!! 2 greatest players.. from leicester woohoooo!!!
MC Prussian Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 I wouldn't put Beckenbauer in that list. Although he was a great player, he actually played as a skipper, so there goes your 4-4-2. Out of the past World Championships, Brazil, Italy and Germany must have some players in that starting 11. Here's my choice: Lev Yashin (in the days when Russia was a football power) Cafú Paolo Maldini (a living Dynacell) Bobby Charlton Giuseppe Bergomi (AC Milan legend) Alain Giresse (deadly together with Platini) Zinedine Zidane (trickster) Michel Platini (carried the whole French team back in the 80ies) Johan Cruyff (genius midfielder) Pélé (speaks for himself) Gerd Müller ("The bomber") With the following substitutes: Dino Zoff Fritz Walter Eusébio Ferenc Puskas Paolo Rossi
MC Prussian Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 And there's a reason why I didn't put on my list. Fat bastard!
shen Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 How can you not pick Pele , Shen ? 87746 Cause I don't agree that he was the world's greatest forward, let alone player....And Gerd Müller deserved a mention, he's got to be the most dangerous box player of all time...

BartonFox Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 I can only pick players who I saw play either live or on the googleplex GK - Peter Schmichael - no one better RB - Paulo Maldini - can't think of a decent right back and he's just as comfortable there. LB - Andreas Bremhre - tremendous full back CB - Laurent Blanc - Forget his time at Man United CB- Franco Baresi - ruthless and classy RM - Diego Maradona - Hand of God aside a genius LM - Johan Cruyff - so good they nameda turn after him CM - Socrates - a great philosopher of the game CM - Michel Platini - majestic FW - Thierry Henry - a joy to watch FW - Gerd Muller - made it look so easy
