Portsmouth's current high standing is simply because Mandaric sold the club to Gaydamak, who has openly invested in the team, and not with smoke and mirrors.

Mandaric talks a good talk about ambition but his seven years at Pompey resulted in 1 promotion and half a dozen relegation battles. Only now are they getting their new ground which Mandaric kept "promising".

This record looks like continuing at City and I cannot comprehend why Mandaric is classed as successful.

Portsmouth were were a well established premiership side well before milan sold out to Gaydamak. Gaydamak would never be at pompey if it wasnt for mandaric so of course he was sucessful you have to look at where pompey were when he bought tem and when he sold them, thats how he will be judged at Leicester so get behind him and if you really want to have a go at someone start with our players who didnt even try last season, not 100% thats why were down. Weve all been let down including milan.

Trying to blame Milan for the nightmare that is Pompey council's planning process is a tad harsh. He tried many times to get the application through.

To the best of my knowledge, Portsmouth City Council have never turned down an application from Portsmouth Football Club for a new stadium. Only two applications have been made, one at Farlington and one to turn Fratton Park around. Portsmouth City Council approved both. Farlington was rejected by the Secretary of State, John Prescott, due to Brent Geese, and Portsmouth FC never went ahead with the renovation of Fratton Park.

It would be unfair not to concede Milan's role in the resurgence of Portsmouth FC but even they are rewriting history in the light of new owner Gaydamak's money and drive to get things done.
