filbertway Posted 8 August 2004 Posted 8 August 2004 WE never make the most of our corners or free kicks, i used to think it was just izzets fault for not being able to cross. But now i think that they are actually just told to float the ball in a nice easy position for the keeper or way too deep. Why don't they just whip the ball in at head height with a bit of pace, instead of all these floaters just hanging in the air.

Why did we score more than any other team in the Prem last year, and the same in division 1 the year before then? Clearly all our set pieces so far are based around Dublin and his sending off didn't do us any favours, plus we couldn't commit men forward yesterday with only 10 players.

Oli Posted 8 August 2004 Posted 8 August 2004 Williams is by far a better corner taker than Izzet. Izzet either put it to close to the keeper or couldnt get it over the first man. Williams got it perfect everytime, over the first man and away from the keeper.
