I'd already offered to just pull FHR out of the competition as the 3 song option clearly mattered so much to you but that, with the ridiculously short notice, and knowing that in that time frame I wouldn't be able to even contact FHR to get his opinion, I wouldn't get a third song to you. It's childish as you are putting it there for all to see just to get at me for something completely blown out of proportion. And no... I don't want FHR pulled out of the competition as it would be totally unfair to him and completely unjustified. Yes, it was short notice, sorry, but now I know that you can't get one in time because of various reasons, I'll just leave it at 2 songs... that's all it needed... just to let me know it wasn't possible and I've have just said, OK, we'll leave it at 2 songs then... Can we draw a line under this now... Very sad way to end a day... I'm very sorry...

FilboFox Posted 16 December 2008 Author Posted 16 December 2008 Ah well... there we are... another year done and dusted and it's Libertine who's taken the crown. It's been an eventful competition but despite the controversy along the way, fun to be part of. A big thanks goes out to everyone who took part, the other judges and to all those who voted as without them, it'd be impossible to run this. To be honest, I'm not sure if I can put myself through all this again next year but we'll see as I might feel different when the time comes... then again, I might make a few changes to the line up to keep everyone happy and make it more interesting. Thanks again to all... and yes, even those who constantly call it a fix... we know you love it really!
