crawfordfoxes Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 ive been 15 away games this year and five on the train i find goin on the train much better than coach
Guest Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 An early train gives you the freedom to do what you want. I much prefer going by train. The coaches are a pain in the bottom, literally!!
Sparky Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 train is a better day out , i usally spend a ton on the day out if i go on the train but i dont spend as much if i go on the coach
Teeno Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 Trains are better as it gives you more drinking time before game, but they are very unreliable.
Anish Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 I'd prefer train but it depends how close the ground is to the train station. Trains are usually more expensive too.
Scow Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 Relied on Fox Travel all this season - I wouldn't mind trying the train for a few games next season. I think Sam will insist on it since he's a drunk...

Scow Posted 11 April 2005 Posted 11 April 2005 I think all these 'drunk' slurs are a tad harsh :o 91794

Katy Posted 12 April 2005 Posted 12 April 2005 at about £2.60 for a can of stella or whatever extortionate price it is they charge could prove an expensive trip though 91773 Take your own! 91832 Hmm well my experience of 'taking my own' almost led me and my chums to kip on the beach in Southend, I wont bore you with the details but basically the coach driver was not impressed with the antics from about 5 tanked up 'birds' and he grassed us up to the police as well!
adam Posted 12 April 2005 Posted 12 April 2005 Train is far better. Get some cans before you set off.(got to be an early train) get to the destination about 11 then head straight to a pub! Fox Travel are not my idea of a good day out. Get to the ground for kick off and have a 45 minute stop on way! terrible

The Livingston Fox Posted 12 April 2005 Posted 12 April 2005 Can tell you a few horror stories about going to the games by train. But when your a season ticket holder living in Liverpool there is no other way.£35 return.Actually easier getting to the away games by train.
