Manager Of The Month Nominations for September.

Championship

Paul Sturrock (Plymouth Argyle)

Mick McCarthy (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Steve Coppell (Reading)

Owen Coyle (Burnley)

League 1

John Sheridan (Oldham Athletic)

Kenny Jackett (Millwall)

Gary McAllister (Leeds United)

Nigel Adkins (S****horpe United)

League 2

Andy Scott (Brentford)

Peter Taylor (Wycombe Wanderers)

Keith Alexander (Macclesfield Town)

Alan Knill (Bury)

No Mr Pearson this month

Don't see why not, 3 wins in a row, Only 1 loss, Top of the league. Oh well :dunno:

My picks would be;

Championship - Mick McCarthy.

League 1 - John Seridan

League 2 - Not really sure, not looked at that league to close, Certainly not Peter Taylor, He doesn't deserve to be a manager let alone be up for Manager Of The Month.

Plus a JPT win aswel. Dont know if they factor this in, but they should. 5 wins out of 6 possible games.

I don't like these awards to be honest.

I don't always think it should go to the person/team that's won the most games. Surely achieving more with a lower abled team is more worthy, instead of someone like Pearson who is expected to win games.

The award to Jackett is a joke.

Yes, Millwall did win all four league games last month, but the way in which they won them (and not just against us) left a sour taste.

Despite what Chris Kamara might think, there is no place in the game for gratuitous thuggery. Gary Mac should have won it.

But if Jackett succumbs to the MOTM curse (as Pearson did), I won't mind..
