davieG Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Foxes Drawn At Home To Valiants Posted on: Thu 16 Oct 2008 Leicester City's Under-18s have been drawn at home to Port Vale in the first round of the FA Youth Cup. A date and kick-off time have yet to be confirmed but the clash must be played at the Walkers Stadium by Saturday, November 8. Last season, the Foxes reached the fifth round of the competition after brushing aside Blackburn Rovers (1-0) and Crystal Palace (3-2). However, they eventually went down 3-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Ashley Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 why does it HAVE to be played at the Walkers? Because Leicester got drawn at home
Jimmy Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Because Leicester got drawn at home yes but the academy never play at the walkers so then why is the training ground not suitable
Simpo Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 It's a rule of the FA Youth Cup that games have to be played at the senior team's home stadium
JakeShingler Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Is this a public rhing as i got a mate in the team i would like to see him play.
Ultra Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 The game will indeed be open to the public. I'm sure one or two other folk from here will also be in attendance.
Sods Posted 16 October 2008 Posted 16 October 2008 Was good last year, lifted spirits after watching mostly shite on Saturdays.
Thracian Posted 17 October 2008 Posted 17 October 2008 Was good last year, lifted spirits after watching mostly shite on Saturdays. Indeed. Probably the best football seen there last season from any Leicester team!
davieG Posted 22 October 2008 Author Posted 22 October 2008 To be played Monday 3rd November @ 7pm @ The Walkers
Ashley Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 yes but the academy never play at the walkers so then why is the training ground not suitable I think you'll find they do play at the Walkers, not all the time however they do play the odd game there.
