Jimmy Posted 8 November 2008 Posted 8 November 2008 Well if he was then it's poor on Martin Allen's part, spending £750,000 on a crocked player. The same thing has been said about Oakley ever since his arrival, if you ask me it's just an excuse rather than reality. niggling injuries wouldn't cause you to fail a medical
dandannieldanok Posted 8 November 2008 Posted 8 November 2008 niggling injuries wouldn't cause you to fail a medical Still doesn't disguise the lack of in-depth investigation before signing him, £750000 is a large amount to risk on some with niggling injuries. I can't recollect Clemence having any niggling injuries for Birmingham anyway. I still think it's an excuse and nothing anyone says will change that cos I'm a stubborn bastard.

You can't cover up any "niggling injuries" that well.
