L1 yesterday

I left L1 with 30 minuites to go yesterday. I hated the game, again people were being thrown out for sweet fa and the stewards were constantly harassing us. I kept being asked to sit down and then a steward would go and stand right infront of me. Its a joke, just before they scoed their second I went to go to the train station, but instead went and sat in the kop near Lisa so I could watch the game in peace. I'm gonna send an complaint to Davies cause I've had enough. The police and stewards at games just ruin it for everyone and I wish I never went to the game yesterday, all the fun has been taken out of football. the complete package has gone. Atmosphere, banter and having a good time are a thing of the past, it wont be long before football grounds will be like cinemas and you can't talk during play.

L1 bloody annoys me to be honest, im all for a bit of atmosphere of course but the amount of people more concerned with what the away fans are doing and not watching a game they've paid 25 odd quid to watch???? Do people have money to burn????

What annoys me even more is when people in front of me are leaping up and down at the slightest thing and having a pop at the away end and blocking my view of a game ive paid 25 odd quid to watch!!!

WHY?????

It is getting stupid, so many getting thrown out just for standing and making an atmosphere, they arn't obstructing anyones view in front at the top so they can't be thrown out for that, lower down maybe. But the stewards are getting bored and just throwing people out at random. The coppers are the worst at the moment though, stewards next to me are sound.

I keep repeating this but no one seems to listen. No matter where you are in the ground if you stand during long passages then the club can (and eventually will, if it persists) be fined; whether you're blocking anyones view or not. The club has every right to eject fans not obeying the rules- in the end its going to save them (and us I guess) money.

leicester has a very small amount of people in L1 who stand about 120 i guess. Other clubs such as leeds have up to 10,000. They have had their away allocation reduced but we has any club actually had part of a ground closed. If they close L1 they will close many more parts of stadiums first.

Stand up !!!!!!!! support and sing!!!!!

It wouldnt make a difference if parts of the stadium were closed because we wouldnt fill the stadium anyway, and what happened to this 'stand up, sit down' policy they were talking about a few months ago? :S

there still doing that i think but the football league are being gay and wont let anyone stand up if they want thats why people just stand up anyway and its more dangerous apparently although personally i dont see the danger in everyone standing up in seated areas i mean everyone does it when the teams come out and so how is that different to during the match? suppose its the exitement.

I hate L1 - Can't wait to go back to the Kop next season. Full of chavs, who don't seem to understand the game of football. They spend more of their time watching the away fans than the actual game.

The Kop was quiet on Saturday but there were a few people making a genuine effort to get the fans going, one bloke shouted out "bring back Filbert Street!" couldn't of said it better myself.

Simon's right; the club have the right to throw people out for persistent standing. If they aren't seen to do anything, the club could have the safety certificate withdrawn at worst, meaning noone will be able to watch City, or at the very least we'll have ticket allocations reduced, home or away.

Having spoken to Teeno, my feeling is they are being particularly over-zealous to put people off going into L1 at the moment.

Every game, we see little boys being dragged out of that section. What must the awayers think of City and it's supporters? I know I find it highly amusing when we go to a ground, and we have to face it.

F.A cup final

the whole bottom tier stood up newcastle and manchester united fans (exept for a pocket of supporters next to the dugouts.

I wish leicester fans would stand up im sorry but i prefer it.

Teeno I spoke to you after the Wolves game about our certain friend who you stand with who did teh willy puller sign and got chucked out.

Ive got a ballooned and swelled up face so couldnt go and not sure bout tomorrow night but against wolves where I was i was so mad at the police being wankers.

Man infront gets told off for shouting support or something at the start of the game. THEN the bloke next to me who goes with his 3 kids, 2 boys sit infront of him bout 11 the police are shouting at him to get over to them, god knows why an 11 yr old boys such a problem and the dads not happy and starts shoutin and his girl starts crying and it just annoys the frig out of everyone.

L1 could have been a great place for banter and singing but the Police are happier for it to be a trouble area. If a crime is commited then fine come in but they never are. And if standings such a crime how come not only do other clubs not think its such a crime, but even our own stewards to away fans dont think its a crime.

i think the police might have been over the top because of the trouble in the city centre ( see general board) and they probably though a few of the L1 lads were involved.

dunno though

maybe they are not as selfish as those in L1 i'm sorry but rules whether you agree with them or not are there for a reason i don't see what it is about the people in L1 that make them believe they should play by different rules than the rest of us.
