davieG Posted 1 December 2008 Posted 1 December 2008 From OS The Times newspaper has today issued an apology to Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson in relation to an article that was printed on Thursday, November 13. It reads: "In our report on the FA's antidoping policy and the new "whereabouts" rule (November 13), we said that a Leicester City player had inadvertently missed a random dope test because he had left a training session early after the manager, Nigel Pearson, had indicated that those who arrived early could leave early. We now understand that this unwitting mix-up occurred before Nigel Pearson became manager. We apologise for any confusion and are happy to put the record straight."

This whole mix up has caused us as supporters a lot of stress therefore I feel we are left with no alternative but to seek a cash payout.

Corky Posted 1 December 2008 Posted 1 December 2008 From the OS: Leicester City can confirm that this apology from the Times is a December monthly benefit for STH's. We believe it is in the best interest of supporters to receive this benefit.

So is Pearson going to drop his action, perhaps with the newspaper making a small donation to charity, and now get on with focusing 100% on managing our club?
Corky Posted 1 December 2008 Posted 1 December 2008 So is Pearson going to drop his action, perhaps with the newspaper making a small donation to charity, and now get on with focusing 100% on managing our club? Since he released his statement our form hasn't really been affected has it?
Thracian Posted 1 December 2008 Posted 1 December 2008 Since he released his statement our form hasn't really been affected has it? We're winning often enough but we're not looking anything like as good a team as I expected.
Corky Posted 1 December 2008 Posted 1 December 2008 We're winning often enough but we're not looking anything like as good a team as I expected. I know we haven't been playing brilliantly, apart from at Scunthorpe, but we are winning matches, which is a good sign. I'm enjoying this season far more than any of the five previous years, that's for sure
