Samu Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 I'm not saying that Sheehan isn't a good player but how can you have him and Dawson in our best team when they've never even played. We have absolutely no idea whether they could cut it in the first team. I'm sorry but that team is just ludicrous.

Little Nicky Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 Totally agree, at the mintue this is how my current best Leicester Side looks: Walker Maybury McCarthy --------- Stewart Gillespie Hughes --------- --------- Connolly Dublin As you can see I don't think we have a capable squad to make a team of 11 players that could cut it even in this division! I feel we need to bring in at least 2 midfielders, one to play wide left, and 1 in the centre, Joey and Lilian can get on the next train out of Leicester for me! As for defence, I don't rate Dabizas or Heath and I don't think Stearman is powerful enough yet to play alongside a fairly inexperienced player (as McCarthy is frankly, even though he has bags of potential), We could do with getting an old head in to play alongside McCarth's and perhaps introduce Stearman on a steady route, perhaps as a sub for the old hand, Dublin will be nothing more of a backup (I've included him because I honestly believe he's the only player capable of making things happen in the team at the moment!) On the Striker front this is our main downfall, the word confidence player has been banded about far too much about Connolly for my liking, he has the talent there's no doubting that, but week in week out for us, he's done nothing - and he's our most promising attacker . De Vries, I don't know whether he needs his head examining but he just doesn't seem to have that cutting edge required toplay centre forward, perhaps a good pre-season could change this, but my opinion now, book up, or fook off! 2 Strikers please Levein, or 1 that'll do the business and give Doddsy a try! At a push for the Cardiff game I would try something a bit different, as I feel this team is probably the best we can look at!
