Fox in a Box Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 Only a few more games to end a dreadful season... I was dreaming of a coastal celebration visit when i first saw the fixtures.. I was wondering then if the boys could handle the pressure if they were top 2. Now look where we are and i'm starting to wonder if they boys (not men by all accounts) can handle the potential relegation pressure. Do you think they are battlers or bottlers..

Who ate all the pies? Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 We'll soon find out! I think we'll scrape it this season, but we need to improve fast otherwise next season doesn't promise too much. I think we've been let down by some of the older pros who just haven't got the heart for playing in the Championship. It's time we cut loose those players who can't be arsed and got the players who want to play in the team. I could live with us being were we are if we looked like we were at least trying

shen Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 We badly need an inspirational leader on the pitch as well as off it! Levein needs to acclimatise quickly and win games to get the respect and commitment from his squad that he needs. If things start out bad next season we might need a change. I'm all for Levein, but he isn't infallible and if he doesn't get the right blend of players in this summer and shows some conviction, then he is not the one we need. He's gonna get 1 shot and 1 shot only... let's hope for his and our sake that he doesn't blow it!

I'm not going to be convinced by two such unknown and unproven players until they produce something here...for all I know they could just as well be the De Vries mark II and Gudjonsson mark II respectively...
