Levein Set To Ring The Changes

City boss Craig Levein has hinted that there may be a number of new faces in his side for the visit of Cardiff to the Walkers Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Foxes manager was left disappointed after watching his side go down 2-0 at the hands of Paul Jewell's Wigan Athletic last weekend.

And he now looks set to make full use of his almost fully fit squad as City go in search of all three points against the Bluebirds.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Levein said: "There will be one or two changes for our game against Cardiff.

"Quite a few people let themselves down on Saturday and that will be apparent in the team selection. There will be new faces in the starting line up."

Levein's side will also be bolstered by the return of Stephen Hughes from suspension.

"He will come back into the team again," he added.

And the City boss confirmed that he had no fresh worries on the injury front following Saturday's defeat.

He concluded: "Everyone came through the Wigan game without any problems, so we are just missing Lee Morris at the moment."

It will be interesting to see who CL thinks let the side down

:blink: <_< :huh::mad:

Yes he is isn't he?

I know people are entitled to their opinions but sometimes you just have to say something.

Please can you explain why Connolly is 'crap'? I'd like to try and understand your viewpoint.

He's got no passion for the game or the club he does have ability but he hardly shows it. Every now and then there might be a spark of imagination in something he does but then he'll ruin it he lacks consistency and can't score under pressure.

In my opinion, Connolly is a good player in a crap team. Maybe you should look at the problems before we get to the strikers. for example, Dabizas constantly hoofing long balls to Connolly's head.

Connolly's the only player who gives 100% every game

He's got to drop de Vries. If he doesn't, then I'll start to become a little concerned with Levein. It's alright having a good first touch, but if he isn't a threat on the opposition goal, then he shouldn't be playing. He's a targetman who can't head the ball.

I'm not writing de Vries off by any means, however, I feel he needs to be dropped to the bench in order to show he's not an automatic selection.

If Levein persists with De Vries I will be mightily pissed off. It is about time somebody like Moore got a start and some of the youngsters got some first team action - they could not perform any worse than the bunch of idiots that played on Saturday.

And please Levein, no more players playing out of position
