davieG Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 We'd be planning one for Leicester if Nottingham hadn't thrown theirs out.
Thracian Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 thats right MCR was going to be the bench mark for other placesHopefully this resounding no will be a nail in the coffin for other Cities I doubt it. It will be just like European referendums. If anyone votes no they will just change the wording and ask again. It's funny, there are no annual rethinks offered once something has been agreed though. Democracy? Do me a favour.
Koke Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 They'll just ask for another vote. And again. And again. Until they get a Yes.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 thats right MCR was going to be the bench mark for other placesHopefully this resounding no will be a nail in the coffin for other Cities Let's hope so.
Thracian Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 At a time when thousands of people every week are losing their jobs, when manaufacturing is at it lowest point since records began, when the pound has plunged due to Gordon Brown's irresponsible borrowing and when companies that have been household names for decades are going broke only the Labour Party could even think of charging people for the privilege of driving to work. Labour Party? Party of tyhe people? They are beneath contempt. No Labour Needed Party would be more appropriate.
