Chandler Posted 19 April 2005 Posted 19 April 2005 This pearler is a little over committed. Even I wouldn't pledge unquestioning allegiance to a single man. The club is always bigger than the man. And it doesn't cause me any pain to say that LCFC was always far bigger than Micky Adams. But for this poster Adams appears to be at least the equal of LCFC. Very touching, but even I would call this statement a wanton exhibition of brown nosed loyalty: 'I would never want to see the back of MA...' Are you all squirming comfortably?

Personally I didnt want MA to leave at the time he did, and I certainly wasnt one of those calling for his head (although I was beginning to get a little irritated by events). But you move on with things. Right now Craig Levein is in charge and that is the way things are. Instead of banging on about the 'glory' days of Adams why dont you actually do something CONSTRUCTIVE instead of DESTRUCTIVE. Why not make some suggestions on how the team can actually be improved? Which players arent up to your standards, who would you bring in etc. Cause lets face it, you just sound like a bitter, twisted old fool...

Perhaps you are too young to remember 'Listen With Mother' and it's legendary intro: 'Are you SITTING comfortably...?' Now, if I have to 'deconstruct' this any further I will have to write to the Dean. By the same token, it should be bleeding obvious to all but the dullest of wits why I keep dragging up posts from the past. You have great difficulty in seeing what is on the end of your nose Cambridge. So much so, I find it hard to believe that you really are a member of THAT august institution. Sure you don't mean the other place down the road with security gates and 24 hour patrols?

THE CURRENT MANAGER IS FAILING TO MOTIVATE HIS SQUAD. HIS DECISION TO GO SCOUTING ON MATCH DAYS IS AN ADMISSION OF THIS FAILURE. ANY ADDITIONS TO THE SQUAD AT THIS MOMENT ARE UNLIKELY TO IMPROVE THE SITUATION. IT WILL SIMPLY BE THROWING GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD. THE PROBLEM IS THE MANAGER Go figure...

Please enlighten me Mr Bing as to how the club can afford to sack the manager and then replace him with a new one only a few months into his contract AND then stump up the money to employ a new manager? By the way, just for arguments sake, who would you give the job to?

step Posted 19 April 2005 Posted 19 April 2005 Yes Chandler, who do you think should have taken over from MA, be realistic and bare in mind we are a team in the fizzy with little money and a the job would be difficult for any manager. I think we have got a manager in CL that is as good as we can get. infact I think we are very lucky to have someone of his ability at city
MON Posted 19 April 2005 Posted 19 April 2005 Under Micky we would be much higher in the table then we are now....

MA walked away from City 6 months ago, can't we just let him go, move on and look forward? All these if's, but's and assumptions are pointless. We are where we are so let's just deal with it, eh?

Mark Posted 19 April 2005 Posted 19 April 2005 No we do not. It's not a NEED. It's just expectations. I'd be quite happy for us to finish in the top 10 if i can see progression, and a bright future. It takes time to rebuild, Derby, Wigan, Ipswich, it's took them 3 years, not doing so bad are they. PATIENCE.
