V.A.T reduction on Parking?

Went to the new shopping center yesterday,and paid my £4 parking etc

noticed on the receipt v.a.t was @15% as it should be

anyone know why the parking fees are not reduced?

seems they are just making more money than before

I dont know to be honest,but i cant imagine it being £4 something,by my workings it should have been £4.20 ,maybe it was,seems an odd sort of figure?

I doubt they are offering the discount.

I drove into the carpark at just after 6pm to get the £2 ticket charge. I know it was this time because the news was being read on the radio.

Anyhow, drove up to the machine and somebody was waiting on the other ticket barrier machine. I thought what they doing messing about?

Looked at the machine - 5.58pm. We both waited for two minutes until it showed 6pm!

Took the ticket and drove in! Watch the ticket barrier machines - they show the wrong time. Whether or not this affects how much it costs if you take your ticket 2 minutes before 6pm, I have no clue.

Probably caught some people out though.
