Laptop Repairs?

Anyone got a decent idea where I can get my laptop repaired? I'm a little hesitant to go to PC World as I'm told they charge a pretty extortionate fixed rate and I know that the only problem with my machine is the power cable socket on the side is fooked. I've read both £69 (for PCs) and £220 (for Laptops?) from PC World websites via Google searched and both seem a little OTT. The £70 I can stomach if that's actually available for notebooks.

Doesn't DB11 work for a company that fixes computers?

My power socket has also gone on my laptop. It's one of those posh HP laptops with an over-extravagant socket, not the simple pin-in-the-middle type.

Anyway, I emailed [email protected] (he's in Leicester). Quoted me £50. I can't find the bloody email now though.

That's the fella. ZD8000 series. I emailed him & told him it was that type, not the simple pin type. It was defo around the £50 mark. I've just not got around to it yet though

The laptop to me is like a mobile to a chav tart. I cannot live without it, haha.

Taking it up PC World today and hopefully it's just a solder job they can do in store.

I pi$$ed about with my phone this morning and deleted all my contacts! They are on my laptop!! Wiggled the power cable like buggery for the last hour...no joy today! Anyway, the fella that quoted me somewhere around the £50 mark, can be contacted via his website HERE.
