Isn't the fiscal stimulus package supposed to be followed by the bringing forward of public works expressedly to keep the construction industry ticking over?

Yes but only three firms in the east midlands cover the majority of public spending in Leics, Notts and Derbyshire through the governments insistance on framework agreements. All three are based in Notts. The private sector isnt building because it cant borrow the money from the banks. The housing market is dead too.

Merry Christmas

Father Christmas, for someone who spends his entire Christmas Eve drink-flying around the world and sneaking in to children's bedrooms, your financial acumen is bordering on the astounding.

Interesting, Father Christmas. You have a back ground in my trade.

We should win promotion at Stoke in a victory which also sees them relegated from the Premiership.

I think this is unlikely, but plausible.

Crewe are moving the final game of the season to the Britannia to fit us all in. :giggle:

If we beat Leeds and Hereford, we'll do it against Palace.

Notice that we put 8k on Coventry this Saturday. Coventry you are a worthless, nothing club even more so than us - your city doesn't even support you.

some how i doubt that as palace will want to raise prices as normal

How can they agree prices when they've already been agreed? Non STH Adults £20, STH Adults £15, Non STH Seniors £15, STH Seniors £10, Under 16's £5.

The day we are set for promotion, we'll get 32,000.

I can't really see what's to jump around with excitement about above such predictions...In effect you're saluting 6-7000 odd floating tarts, little Johnnies..once a season (twice if Wembley :giggle: ) girlfriends.. bandwaggon prats that deserve no credit whatsoever! The loyal 16-19000 Leicester fans..fair enough...

For those old enough, cast your minds back to LCFC's promotion season of 81...400 to Burnley and Middlesbro' (New yrs day?)..less to Chelsea n Carlisle..then 2000 at Oldham..finally 10,000 of the Blue Army's finest turn up at Craven Cottage at end of the season.Human nature I realize..same at most clubs..but did the Leicester players boot footballs to the loyal 400 at Turf Moor?...no..shirts..scarves n balls to the end of season "this is my first away day since Burton Albion" brigade!

Every fans' wish for their club to be riding high at the top of the Premier League - no different for me and the Cobblers (lower end of Championship would do :P )..but even given a stadium to suit, most of us down at Sixfields would view the sudden extra 10,000 'fans' (London Branch of course!!!) with more than a hint of "where were you when we were sh..!) cynacism... Bl**din Saints fans bad enough!

:santa:

Merry xmas NTFC

You mean 83 - we went down in 81.

400 to Burnley and Middlesbro' (New yrs day?)

Boro was on Boxing Day. The turnout there was closer to 800. I was there! (in the seats though)

..less to Chelsea n Carlisle..then 2000 at Oldham..finally 10,000 of the Blue Army's finest turn up at Craven Cottage at end of the season.

The Fulham game came before Oldham, where there were 5k of us out of a total gate of 9k.

That season, attendances were VERY volatile. At home we went from barely 6k v Shrewsbury (February midweek in sub-zero temperatures) to 30k v Burnley to see us clinch promotion.

By the way, our trip to Leeds will see us take 3k there - nearly three times what we took last time we played there in the top flight, in a relegation six-pointer.

Go figure..

If i come in to some money which will mean a very rare appreance to the Roo, which would make the crowd swell.

As proof i went to See us play Newcastle on Boxing day 03 which was then a record crowd. They all went to see me
