Wozski Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Does anyone think that we'll break the 25,000 barrier this season at a home game, cos after browsing our fixture list at the beginning of the season, a Gooner work colleague of mine bet me £50 that Leicester wouldn't get a bogger crowd than this. I looked at MK Dons and Peterborough games and slammed my money on the desk!!! They've both failed to attract the required numbers, so I'm relying on Leeds on Easter Monday.................... but, with the construction industry in the way it currently is, I think we'll both have been sacked by then, so I'm hoping we'll get a big crowd sooner!! Herefords not exactly going to pull them in is it??????

DB11 Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 If we need to win a home game to get promotion I reckon we might get 24k
Stevosevic Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Leeds will and the promotion party (hopefully) will be 30,000+
Flynny Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Isn't the fiscal stimulus package supposed to be followed by the bringing forward of public works expressedly to keep the construction industry ticking over?
dandannieldanok Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Leeds being on Easter Monday will not help in trying to get a high attendance, many people will be on holiday.
smokey Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Leeds Definite 25+ I agree! Did you see MK Dons crowd at the weekend, what a jump from previous weeks, its because of the massive away following you can take there though!
Ashley Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 The day we are set for promotion, we'll get 32,000.
lavrentis Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Abit off Topic but as our last game is away at Crewe and if we do win the league by before then, will the trophy display be done away at Crewe or at a home game before then?

I heard we're gonna try and do it at Elland Road on Friday, just to add more spice (if any were needed)

lavrentis Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Let's not get beyond ourselves. I know but it's bugging me.
Ashley Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 I know but it's bugging me. I'm in two minds about this one. 1. Displayed at Leicester, sell out 32,000+? players do lap of honour etc. then we pitch invade 2. Displayed at Crewe(IF we have won the league before Pitch invade at home when we get promotion )
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Who have we got in our first Championship game next season?
Matt Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Who have we got in our first Championship game next season? Man City.
Tommeh Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Anyone know if theres any tickets left for our cup semi at Villa park against United?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Anyone know if theres any tickets left for our cup semi at Villa park against United? FA Cup or European Cup? MASSIVE. The moral of this brief little interlude is as follows: Stop being planks. We have had an excellent first half of the season, that is it.
CosbehFox Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 If we beat Leeds and Hereford, we'll do it against Palace. Notice that we put 8k on Coventry this Saturday. Coventry you are a worthless, nothing club even more so than us - your city doesn't even support you.
The People's Hero Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 We should win promotion at Stoke in a victory which also sees them relegated from the Premiership. I think this is unlikely, but plausible.
beemeroo Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 Man City. Actually laughed out loud at work. I feel a bit silly now.

Coventry you are a worthless, nothing club even more so than us - your city doesn't even support you. Also, Tigers were at home as well, and some support both, so had to make a decision on which match to go to. To get 23,000 is a great effort, and the quality of the performance should bring in a few for Hereford.

We're in League 1 and as you said we had 8k on them last weekend. I suggest Birmingham City and CCFC merge into one club and maybe, just maybe, they'll get a half decent crowd. Kill two bitches with one stone.

Could you imagine the accent, and they'd probably choose a purple kit. Birmiventry Shitty Football Club sounds perfect.
StanSP Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 Doing it at home to Leeds would be perfect. They have been hyped up as a 'big club'. But they need to realise that they are not and come back down to Earth. The icing on the cake would be to end their promotion push. Imagine if we won the title at home against them and stopped them getting to the play-offs. Oh how sweet that would be!!!
