syston_fox Posted 4 February 2009 Posted 4 February 2009 Plymouth Argyle have terminated the contract of defender Shane White. The 18-year-old is scheduled to appear at Plymouth Magistrate's Court this week to answer charges of drink-driving in the city last month. White had yet to make a first-team appearance for Argyle and had spent time on loan at Cornish side Truro City towards the end of last year. Argyle are refusing to comment on whether White's sacking is connected to the charges he faces. White was a first-year professional at Argyle who signed a 12-month contract at the club last summer. Good on them if he is guilty!! No way is he 18 though

The People's Hero Posted 4 February 2009 Posted 4 February 2009 Must be something in the water in Plymouth. Gin, I expect. McCormick and now this guy....

Darkzzz_ Posted 4 February 2009 Posted 4 February 2009 Must be something in the water in Plymouth.Gin, I expect. McCormick and now this guy.... Exactly. What a twat. Why can't they stick to a bit of Buxton Spring before getting into a car.
sbfox Posted 4 February 2009 Posted 4 February 2009 If it IS drink-driving, is this because of the McCormick incident? Fab Delph has also been done for drink-driving but I'm guessing Plymouth have to take a much harder line after McCormick?
