Tilley Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 Beckford Banned for 3 Gameshttp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ted/7881373.stm & rightly so.
Ultra Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 Leeds are signing Liam Dickinson from Derby on loan this week for the rest of the season. So any suspension for Beckford will be no great loss for them.

To compare the two is laughable. Pace of Becchio, Dickenson and Trundle for defenses to worry about for 3 games.
C-man Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 So let me get this straight. Chris Morgan almost kills Iain Hume and gets fuck all done about it, and Jermaine Beckford does something similar, and less aggresive and he gets a 3 match ban. Ludicrous to suggest he was booked for a 'push prior to the elbow'. Nevermind eh
Stuliasz Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 I really don't understand the reasons why the FA can't act just because the ref has already made a decision.
DB11 Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 I really don't understand the reasons why the FA can't act just because the ref has already made a decision. I would say undermining his authority but they already do enough of that by overturning correct red cards
Cobbo Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 I really don't understand the reasons why the FA can't act just because the ref has already made a decision. I think it is FIFA's directive? Either way, it is moronic, really bloody disgustingly stupid. I believe their reasoning is that they do not want to re referee referee's. Well, it's not like tv can show things in greater accuracy is it. Makes me angry.
C-man Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 I would say undermining his authority but they already do enough of that by overturning correct red cards Undermining his authority? Absolute bullshit. He makes a mistake, what's wrong with correcting it? Name an incident where the 'F.A.' have overturned a correct red card.
