BoneDog Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 I hope they don't do a Wrexham next season. Luton are a football league club. I can remember their glory years. It's absolutely unbelievable that they are gonna be conference. Surely all football fans hate the FA. They are not one of us.
JakeShingler Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 What's your reason for that then? He's a Ref he don't need a reason.
Father Ted Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 Fair play Luton Let's hope that result can get them on a bit of form and save them.
Fosse Boy Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 What have Watford got to do with anything? Watford are Luton's biggest rivals. It's been quoted in some media (can't for the life of me remember where though) as being the fiercest rivalry in England. Correction. Their former directors broke the rules and yet the club got landed with a 30-point deduction to add to the 17 points taken off them last season. Classic banner in the crowd tonight - "THE FA & FOOTBALL LEAGUE - KILLING SMALL CLUBS SINCE 1992" Too right.. :appl: So true. And, at the time, those directors will have been at Luton and working for Luton so the club could get some sort of benefit. So I'm guessing if the same thing happened to Leicester you wouldn't mind too?

According to some Cambridge fan off another forum I wa sspekaing to, Wrexham stand a decent chance of going up through the play-offs.
Simi Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 I hope they realise where all their money for tickets is going...

David O'Leary Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 Chuffed to bits for the fans. DB11, you've got it so wrong this time, why throw the book at the club when the former directors were in the wrong? -30 points only really punishes the fans. Saying that, Luton will have to catch S****horpe on a really bad day if they are going to win this.

The fact that the current board actually reported what they thought might be dodgy book keeping to the FA would suggest that the punishment is overly harsh too.
Brainy Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 DB is on the windup surely. ...no. The worrying thing is that he thinks that he is actually right.
DB11 Posted 20 February 2009 Posted 20 February 2009 So I'm guessing if the same thing happened to Leicester you wouldn't mind too? If Milan was corrupt I'd want him out ASAP and punished so he never could come near a club again. And, to confirm, if Leicester benefited during that spell (for example, winning promotion due to some dodgy dealings eg. bunging a player who scored hat trick in play off final) then yeah it'd only be fair that the club were punished for that.
