AjcW Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Just a quick point... Nice to know we now have the best attack and defence in this league... Something that isnt really made clear when u see teams popping in 5's and 6's every other week but it seems our consistent 2's and 3's have propped us up nicely as leading goal scorers.. And its nice to have the best defence aswell, even if it is something were used to.
Ibbyfox Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 MK Dons have scored 2 more than us In 3 fewer games
AjcW Posted 14 March 2009 Author Posted 14 March 2009 sorry guys i was looking at an unupdated league table...delete it haha
Super Arj Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 yeh but MK Dons concede shitloads in some games... although their attack does seem to cancel that out.. argh fook it.. we're better than them..
foxaholic Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 In 3 fewer games Spot on can you see us scoring 6 we havent scored 5 for 5 years
Ford Super Sunday Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 It does seem weird that as soon as we get to 4 goals we seem to freeze, I mean we havent scored 5 in a competitive game since Sunderland in 2000.... It is depressing But scoring 4 suffices (especially when we scored 4 against the so called attacking might of peterborough!) MK and Peterborough may have more 'attacking flair' than us, but the fact we manage to grind out wins when we most need them is even turning a pessemist like me into a gradual optimist I tell you what, MK could go and score 30 more goals than us, and score 5 in each game... 5 goals still only gets you three points. As for our defence, we I am not surprised, we have Pearson in charge, ex defender, and then of course last season we had the second best defence in the league after Crystal Palace (yet still went down ) so to carry it on this season is excellent, and a positive note for next season. I did feel more comfortable then Tunch was playing at CB, he looked bored t was so easy for him, but Hobbs is fast turning into a very good player for us, from the disappointing player he was in the first couple of months of being here (maybe the fact he is settled at CB, and now not at wing back)

Corky Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 We beat Sheff Utd at home 5-2 three seasons ago at home 4-2 (Hume 2, Smith and Hammond)
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 4-2 (Hume 2, Smith and Hammond) I could have sworn it was 5-2. Ah well I will have to remeber to check my facts next time!!
