davieG Posted 29 April 2005 Posted 29 April 2005 Being of a somewhat cynical nature in my approach to Leicester City Football Club, perhaps I've been a fan for too long I'm often first in the queue to criticise them. However I have to say that this is one occaision where I'm proud to support LCFC, their response to the sad and tragic death of Evertonian Bernard Murphy has been nothing short of inspiring, not only to me but I hope to all fair minded football supporters (the majority). Certainly Evertonians think so. RIP Bernard

Durnerz Posted 29 April 2005 Posted 29 April 2005 Superb gesture by the club, it was chilling when that announcement came through just as I was leaving the stand,everyone just stopped....... It was quite spooky. Thoughts go out to Bernard and his family but well done to LCFC.

Not much in football surprises me any more, but the response of Leicester City Football Club and its supporters to the sad death of Bernard Murphy has been astonishing. I know many Evertonians will join me in saying a heartfelt thanks to everybody connected with L.C.F.C. – not least, you guys, the genuine supporters, who have proved that football really is the people’s game. When your team is back where they belong in the Premiership, make sure you turn up at Goodison Park for your away game – there’s 37,000 of us waiting to buy you a drink…

Whats going on? :ohmy: Glad that Everton fans have noted whats happened and how we have done, but i would expect every club to do that to any fan who lost their life in such sad circumstances
