Yesterday, about 30 bystanders gathered outside in the hope of a glimpse of one of the world's most famous people, Madonna. The American pop star arrived in Leicester last Sunday with her three children, Lourdes, 12, Rocco, eight, and David, three, and has been trying to adopt a Leicester child, called Levi Psssh. "That child was not wanted by his guardians Leicester City," said Thracian, a market worker. "If we have so many unwanted players, it's because LCFC cannot cope," said Ultra, a councillor. "Why turn away Madonna?" Inside the court the Judge Milano Madarico accepted Madonna's application to adopt Levi, on the grounds that prospective clubs were not interested. Rights campaigners welcomed the ruling. One, Hullfox, said: "The courts needed to ensure we open the door for people to come and take our unwanted." Fans outside the court were equally sure that, "Madonna was going to give that child the chance of her life."
