Koke Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 It's gone soft. It's boring now. Wenger needs to step up his ****ing game. I miss the good old days where Wenger never saw a thing and Ferguson was a red-nosed despicable **** and all the pizza throwing malarkey was going on, and where Vieira & Keane nearly had a fist fight in the tunnel and when van Nistelrooy was physically abused when he missed that pen at OT - Rafa/Fergie is not really the same is it. From this... ...to this
lavrentis Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Didn't Fergie call Wenger one of the best managers in the EPL?
Tilley Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Didn't Fergie call Wenger one of the best managers in the EPL? Yes. He said the best three were Wenger, Moyes & O'Neil. Dig at Benitez? Surely not.
Ultra Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Arsenal aren't really title contenders any more. So Fergie no longer considers Wenger to be a threat.
lildave3 Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Arsenal aren't really title contenders any more. So Fergie no longer considers Wenger to be a threat. Pretty much sums it up.
Flynny Posted 1 May 2009 Posted 1 May 2009 I quite like that the two elder statesmen of the Premiership seem to actually have a healthy respect (even regard) for each other, underneath all the media pettiness that happens when they're in direct contention.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 May 2009 Posted 1 May 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...utd/8027551.stm I know this isn't about the rivalry or Wenger at all, but I find this ^ a little bit ridiculous.
Guest Bilo Posted 1 May 2009 Posted 1 May 2009 Arsenal aren't really title contenders any more. So Fergie no longer considers Wenger to be a threat. Correct. Arsenal's decline in the Premiership title race and the thaw in relations between Fregie and Wenger is no coincidence.

I thought it was a month late when I read it. Also the "Ferguson fury at early kick-off" story. It's not like they started the game without him or anything. Two hours less to recover from the mid-week game? Yeah, that will make all the difference between Man U and Middlesborough. I guess it's a case of anything to point to as a justification for why they're doing so badly and, er, winning the league. Well, fook knows what he's up to then.
Shane Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 I really think its time Arsenal won the prem. Maybe next season. Hopefully liverpool will win it next season. Its getting boring seeing man u and chelsea winning it.
