I spoke to a Bristol fan today jsut as coinsidence he mentioned this lad. it is true that tinnion isnt a fan but he is a skillful lad with some lovely touches but is a bit lightweight. i think there are better options available for 400k

He is worth taking on if he is free but getting bit sick of players coming in from SPL though

He's only on loan in the SPL.

He's from League One.

Just out of interest Hoof, where do you stand in the 'Mark de Vries debate'? Do you think he's a donkey and useless or lacking fitness and we haven't seen the best of him?

I'm keeping well out of it, reason being is because I was one of the people calling for Levein to sign de Vries when we were linked with him. From what i've seen of de Vries at Leicester has been nothing short of shocking other than a few nice touches. The funny thing is i've seen him play a few times up at Hearts and he was immense, so i'm reserving judgement because I cannot believe a player can become that bad over night.

He needs competition for places though to push him in to performing, that's why I think we need another target man like Miller or Kris Boyd from Kilmarnock.

Hearts bid for Miller is accepted

BBC Football

Bristol City have agreed a fee with Hearts for striker Lee Miller.

However, BBC Sport understands that City are also expecting an improved bid from Aberdeen, who have already had one offer turned down - as have Hearts.

The 22-year-old former Falkirk striker has been on loan at Hearts since January and is believed to be available for around £300,000.

Miller has scored 11 goals in 21 games for Hearts, earning himself a call-up to the full Scotland squad.

Aberdeen director of football Willie Miller told the P&J: "We won't be held to ransom for the simple reason we don't have the funds.

"We've got to do the best for Aberdeen, but we do have limited resources," added Miller.

"We are not going to put all our eggs into one basket and sign just one player. "We have some money available, but we want to bring in other players to improve the side.

"We have got other options and we will cross Lee Miller off the list if need be."

We've perhaps robbed Hearts enough times what with Levein and Maybury, perhaps it's best we let them have this one. Even though I think this guy is class and a snip at whatever transfer fee they've agreed which I can't imagine is anymore than £350,000 as Hearts are extremely skint like ourselves.

Back to the drawing board..........
