There have been 5 English players transferred for 7 million pounds or over (in a single deal), who have not gone on to be capped. Who are they?

Posted

He cheated by playing in Europe there for Arsenal.

Correct , along with numerous finals before you take in to account his england caps

What about David Seaman? He would have played in the same games as Adams but has about ten more caps than him (although about 6 of them would have come at the World Cup 2002).

Seaman played a fair few qualifiers and friendlys whilst Wembley had been knocked down . Think Adams became a England regular before Seaman also

Has Jermaine Pennant ever been capped. I thought he had but can't find it anywhere

Dont think he has been capped , good shout if not

Alright boys! Its Albert here just seen that you have just got the answer to the question. Well done

:D

Hard question that one.

Kevin Davies and Dean Richards are correct, Jermaine Pennant's highest transfer value was 6.7 million and is therefore incorrect.

3 more. One of them played for Leicester.

I got confused. I checked when Wembley was demolished (2003, same year that Seaman finished playing) but then realised that the last game was 2000 >_<

Correct.

So that is C Cort, K Davies and D Richards. 2 more.

I've got to get back to work so looked the rest up on Google, Wikipedia says there are 7 and they all look right to me so I think there might be 4 more.

This is correct

The other two are Dean Ashton and Reo-Coker.

Wrong Mablo , Ashton has 1 cap

Curtis Davies

Dean Ashton's played for England. It's Curtis Davies

Anton Ferdinand

Bosh.

There's one more to make up the seven Fez mentioned. So far we've got:

Kevin Davies

Carl Cort

Curtis Davies

Nigel Reo Coker

Anton Ferdinand

Dean Richards

Techincally that was undisclosed. I believe. Although you're probably right.

The BBC says about £8million, that'll do for me :D
