Howdo,

Can somebody please enlighten me as to how to add quotes from another member into a sig as i've tried to "insert special item" and that route but it just brings up a link not the actual post. :dunno:

Cheers me dears in advance.

You will need to go into 'My Controls' (see top right of forum page) In there on the left under 'Personal Profile' click on 'Edit Signature'.

If you want to add pictures they need to be hosted by someone like photobucket.

Cheers mate but I should of been clearer, i've got that far but it's when i'm actually editing my sig that i can't see how to add a quote. I can wrap the text in a quote box but it doesn't acutally copy the quote.

Find whoever's quote it is you want to put in your sig. Click 'quote' at the bottom and then 'reply' (as if you were going to reply to it within the thread), then copy all the bits and bobs that are in the 'reply' box - this'll give you their name, when they posted it, etc, etc. Then go to 'my controls', 'edit signature' and paste all that lot into the appropriate box. If that's completely, hopelessly, unclear let me know and I'll try harder! :)

Why click "Quote" and then "Reply"? The "Reply" button automatically quotes the person in the reply box, so then you can just copy everything fine and dandy, so clicking "Quote" first is redundant. The "Quote" button is for doing multiple quotes before clicking "Add Reply" at the bottom of the page

Er, because from his sig it looked like he was trying to include multiple quotes. But, yeah, ok - above applies if it's for just the one.

Then, from your post, you should have put 'add reply' and not 'reply'

Well I wanted to give him a small challenge. Where's the fun in making it completely simples?! *inserts 'up yours' emoticon* :P
