filbertway Posted 12 May 2005 Posted 12 May 2005 Can you stop the text talk please, it annoys most people on here, and it doesn't take too much effort to type normaly now does it . Welcome the site as well . I reckon we should have a young squad with a few experianced players. Most of all we need a squad that willing to battle for each other, so we can get our of this dirty league.
lcfc_for_life Posted 12 May 2005 Author Posted 12 May 2005 yeh thats wat i was thinking but i wanted 2 kno wat every 1 thought.
Louise Posted 12 May 2005 Posted 12 May 2005 On a seperate note, Blackburn have just won the U18 academy league I believe. With players Rob Kelly picked and brought through... promising future for our academy I think.

There should be a healthy mix between the old and the new. There will be a need for a few old heads but an even greater need for fresh legs.
Durnerz Posted 12 May 2005 Posted 12 May 2005 Personally, I don't care how old his signings are, its the quality that counts.
lweston Posted 12 May 2005 Posted 12 May 2005 Yes i would like young players being brought in but we do need some experienced players for those times in the season when things aren't going so well to get morale up, players who know how to do it, but only some i think the keeping of dion is vital to the team, so maybe a few more older players please
posh_bird Posted 12 May 2005 Posted 12 May 2005 I think both too. The younger players need to be given the oppotunities but not put under too much pressure too soon. There needs to be a balance between the more experienced players and reserve/academy members in the first team.

I think it's brilliant what Levein's doing by shipping out all the dead wood and bringing in a youthful look. There seems to be a few disgruntled fans but that's always the same with city. We've needed a fresh start for a while now and I think things are really looking up. The average age at Plymouth was very encouraging!
robhulse4england Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 a mixture of both is whats needed you cant get enough experience but look at keown and ferdinand they didnt contribute much especially keown
hinds12 Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 i believe that it is good for levien to be bringing in young players but we do need some older players to influence and guide the younger inexperianced players.
Hazza Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 Focus on youth with a few experienced lads, i'd like to see a squad who can win promotion without the need to be replaced in the summer because they're all too old. I used to get frustrated at Martin O'Neill's lack of summer transfer activity but over the past 2 years it's become a joke.
