Leicesterboi Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 I have just been informed that Leicester are hoping that Notts County's transfer embargo is sorted out as we are interested in buying Lee Hughes. I don't have a link as of yet as I have just found out through my line of work. (Before you ask, as previously stated, I work for the Manchester Evening News) Also the growing speculation regarding Matty Fryatt seems to be gathering pace!! Why MM would sell at this stage of the season given our current standing is beyond me.
lou Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 FECK OFF HUGHES! No I dont care how many goals he scores hes a low life

Also i was under the impression that transfer embargos were only used for incoming transfers ??
Jimmy Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 No thanks if true. Also i was under the impression that transfer embargos were only used for incoming transfers ?? they are but they wouldn't sell if they couldn't replace him
Ford Super Sunday Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Probably not true, but I certainly wouldn't mind if he came. I've argued countless times about him, I really don't want to go into it. Seems that people would rather a man who has served his sentence, repaid his debt and all that rot on benefits, leaving his family struggling, than earning a wage. Good striker, if we could get him on cheap wages and cheap fee, could do a job for us. Probably be the only person for this, but oh well.
Sparky Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 they are but they wouldn't sell if they couldn't replace him Wouldnt be so sure , they are skint apparently. Plenty of strikers on the books also
Guppy Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Probably be the only person for this, but oh well. I wouldn't mind if we signed him either, he'd get a few goals for us even if he is one of the least likeable players in the game.
CosbehFox Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 He'd be a good player but would I support the signing? No chance. I wouldn't even celebrate his goals.

I dont think a few years in an open prison repays the debt for killing someone then running off personally but I respect your opinion. I just dont want him here, Im not saying he cant earn a living.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 There are people who are always going to be against him coming, i'm sure Oldham and Notts County fans felt the same, and what he did was inexcuseable. I'd cheer his goals if he scored, I might be one of the few. I wouldn't mind if he came either. I will not demonise people who don't want him here or wouldn't celebrate his goals, like you said, respecting of opinions. Anyway, won't happen, so why are we bothering

CosbehFox Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 It's not my issue about him earning a living, it's about his conduct post-release and frankly it's been a disgrace watching him at a couple of League 2 grounds this season. Also, was the reason for Oldham's self-combustion when in last year's L1 playoff chase.
davieG Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 No link, no dice.File it davie. Benefit of the doubt.
davieG Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Due to his job KIA didn't have links but earned his place, just giving the poster a chance.
