dave_the_fox Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 It was against Leeds mate i reckon, think we won 4-0 Awesome that day!
Shrenchel Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Bollocks it was. It was against Bradford. Right near the end of the season, 98/99 maybe. We won I think, fvck knows by how much. You've got more chance of finding a poo in a shit storm though.
Sods Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 I thought it was Barnsley when we relegated them 3-0 last game of the season.
Shrenchel Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Google is your daddy. There is no seclusion to be enjoyed in this hard-fought and highly publicised struggle. Stuart McCall was pleased to be free of that sort of attention five years ago, when Bradford City had almost been forgotten. "Nothing was expected of us," said the former midfielder. "We had been cast adrift." The club would become record-breakers of a kind by retaining Premiership status with the meagre total of 36 points, but 10 of those had to be dragged out of the last five fixtures. Even then, Bradford were aghast to lose their penultimate match at Leicester 3-0."I knew a few of their lads," recalls McCall, who now coaches at Sheffield United. "I had played with Tony Cottee at Everton and Matt Elliott was a team-mate with Scotland. I said to them before the game started, 'Don't bust a gut. There's nothing in this for you.' Well it turned out that Cottee scored twice and Elliott got the other. Neil Lennon even sat on the ball - it really pissed me off."
Pete_foxes Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 haha, I had forgotten all about that, I think it was bradford. Oh how I wish there was nostalgic emoticon its crazy I can remember this, but who was there black striker with bleached blond hair? I'm pretty sure he came on as a substitute that day how I remember that I simply do not know.
lou Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 It deffo wasnt Leeds. Could have been Bradford but I thought it was a cup game against Northampton? I know it was a lower league team as they were incensed at his "disrespecting" of a minnow club? EDIT seen Schrencels post... could have sworn it was Northampton
Shrenchel Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 but who was there black striker with bleached blond hair? I'm pretty sure he came on as a substitute that day how I remember that I simply do not know. ...because it was Leicester hero Jamie Lawrence
foxer Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 I remember that well, think i was sitting in the little family stand behind the goal which was a good view of it as i remember. That was an amazing game!
milan_foxes Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 ...because it was Leicester hero Jamie Lawrence I read his auto-boigraphy the other month, it was erm... intresting. has anyone else?

Scow Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Well it turned out that Cottee scored twice and Elliott got the other. Elliott got two; Cottee the other. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/...ship/738600.stm
rico Posted 18 January 2010 Author Posted 18 January 2010 perhaps if anyone has a program from the following game there may be a picture in it?
Shrenchel Posted 18 January 2010 Posted 18 January 2010 It was the last home game of the season mate.
Fox You Forest Posted 18 January 2010 Posted 18 January 2010 I read his auto-boigraphy the other month, it was erm... intresting.has anyone else? No but he was on the 'Where are they Now' show for footballers on Sky about a month ago, He does some coaching for folks who are/have been in trouble with the law, to try and keep them out of trouble. May have been a repeat though so I have no idea how old it was.
danny. Posted 18 January 2010 Posted 18 January 2010 I remember this clearly, it was Bradford and we were all over them. Dean Windass ran over to try and get the ball and Lennon just sat on it - brilliant stuff.
