Agreed. On that time of our lives programme, Elliot even admitted Walshy was the hardman at Leicester during the Martin O'neill era.

Elliot said people feared him because he looked like a hooligan but was a gentle giant at heart. Walshy used to look after him.

Still vividly remember Gerry getting young Martin Reeves around the throat in the pre-season friendly against Athletic Bilbao (the first game at the Walkers). Gerry was proper fired up for some reason, I'm sure he got subbed before the end on referee's advice.

I love Elliott cos while i was getting out of the car at the training ground he said hi to me and i was in awe and my uncle said hi on my behalf. He picked up the aussie accent and was talking to us both he gave me an autograph and appoligised for getting a red card in my first match i got to see......Then made sure a few of the other guys gave me there autograph.
