Were you lot found under gooseberry bushes? Or do I have to spell out last night's charade for you letter by letter?

Why do you think Kindalan was brought over to Bolton for his last 'amateur' fight? Surely, the reigning, multiple and truly great Olympic champion would choose to have his swansong on his own patch in front of his own fans in some flea pit in Havana?

But no, he goes to fight on the home turf of the most over rated powder puffer since Fraudly Harrison in front of a carefully picked audience of celebs and rum runners from the Cuban Embassy.

For those of you who STILL don't get it - this WAS Khan's first professional bout not his last amateur one. ITV could hardly have made it more obvious with that shark Warren on a live link in some upmarket knocking shop. The ABA don't do razmataz very well down at the York Hall - didn't you know?

Kindalan read the script and performed with exemplary restraint. His sister has had his 'pension' wired to her bank in Carlisle. Now we can look forward to a mini series on ITV featuring Amir against Mexico's less well known horizontal road sweepers. Amir makes his million (no doubt winning one of the crappier versions of the World Championship like the IBF or, perish the thought, the WBO), Warren gets the 'pension' back first night (and then some)...

...and then Amir gets his block knocked off at The Garden by some bad assed brother from the Bronx...

I notice you left out how Amir made Britain a proud nation at the Olympics, and wether Kindalan was ready for it or not Khan took advantage. Britain 1-0 Cuba. Now shut the F**k up.

How do you manage to be a complete cynicist about everything Chandler? What's wrong with showing a bit of support for a British sportsman?

Sorry Sheff but you can't go on believing in Santa ALL your life.

It's time for all of you to grow up. Boxing is a totally corrupt sport. Virtually all the fighters are on steroids. Many of the camps have links to organised crime. And in the pro game most fighters have been asked to take a dive sometime in their career.

Last night was one of the very few occasions where I have seen an amateur contest thrown. Except, of course, it wasn't really an amateur contest. There was a lot of money at stake.

And ITV's future Saturday night's ratings...

Difference being EVERYONE KNOWS IT'S FIXED.

Wrestling is not a sport. It's entertainment.

to be fair the fight really got me thinking, compare it to the fight for the olympics

the olympic fight was a brilliant contest in which made our nation proud of him. But last night seemed completely different, last round, its obvious kahn is winning, but yet the cuban world champion just lets him run circles without the attempt of throwing a punch? Its your last fight of your career, why would you want to roll over like that?

you could compare boxing with horseracing at the minute but to be honest i don't follow the sport except the odd ''titan clash'' so it doesn't really bother me what goes on

To be fair to Chandler, he's not far off the mark with that.

I take a keen interest in boxing and i've seen some phenomenal fighters in my time, Khan isn't one of them. If he turns out to be one, i'll dig my own grave. He did surprise me on saturday and 'battered' Kindelan, but considering the Cuban rolled over and took a beating makes me wonder.

He did well at the Olympics, but amateur boxing is completely different to professional boxing and if professional boxing was 'cleaner' than it was 10-20 years ago, Khan would be sparked out in the opening minute of the first round.

Good luck to the lad, I hope he makes a few million and retires. Exploit the game for what it is at the minute, but as Chandler rightly says if you think Khan is the next big thing then so is Matt Heath.
