broughtonblue Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 The Leicestershire chronicle this month (mercury offspin) has a feature about city chants from the 70's till now. Not comprehensive but quite good, decent pictures as well.
Simmo86 Posted 30 October 2010 Posted 30 October 2010 I always liked (think the words are right) Bring on the Sunderland and Arsenal Bring on the Scousers by the score Barcelona, Real Madrid They may make a mighty bid But they won't beat Leicester anymore Was a good song till people added that shitty morrrrrreeeee bit on the end!! Nobody knows how long its meant to go on for!
h1210 Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 We are the famous, the famous Leicester! Clap, clap, clap, clap! To the tune of B.Bumble & The Stingers - Nut Rocker
lcfc"weasel" Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Manchester brag about the Summerbee and Best is THE song of the moment.
Fosse Boy Posted 7 February 2011 Author Posted 7 February 2011 Wasn't sure where to post but I remember someone (davieG?) posting a link about the origins of WYS? Anyone know where it is? Manchester brag about the Summerbee and Best is THE song of the moment. Still loving it.
I am Rod Hull Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 I never felt more like singin the blues, When Leicester win and Forest lose oh Leicester, You've got me signin' the blues 2 - 3 - 4!! Remember singing that with the Kevin Russell song when we beat Blackburn 1-0 away in '92 (then lost in the play offs to them the same year!) - ****in love City! I never felt more like singin the blues, When Leicester win and Forest lose oh Leicester, You've got me signin' the blues 2 - 3 - 4!! Remember singing that with the Kevin Russell song when we beat Blackburn 1-0 away in '92 (then lost in the play offs to them the same year!) - ****in love City! I remember that game so well. We were all calling for Rooster to come on, went mad when he scored with his second touch (first one was off his arse when Bobby Mimms tried to clear a back pass that fell to Rooster) right infront of us. That was amasing support that day.

Happy happy times!

Dan Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Need some of these to get a proper airing. Problem with our support is L1 (not all, but a lot) would overlook a lot of these songs, fact.

The best way to get them going is get in a boozer before an away game and get a sing song going - then people pickit up quick in the away end!

Valid point to be fair. It's all well and good talking about songs on this forum, and others. But unless they get sung away from home, not just by certain sections of the support at Filbert Way then they'd be far more likely to catch on and become regulars in my opinion.
m00nie Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 there's a taven in the town, robert maxwell gone and drown, arthur cox has got the fooking pox, AND DERBY COUNTY GOING DOWN..........
