The Doctor Posted 20 February 2010 Posted 20 February 2010 1991/1992 Division Two (Old) 21,012 - 24th in Division Two most of the season1990/1991 Division Two (Old) 16,879 - Official boycot to get rid of McKeag and get SJH in which the fans won 1989/1990 Division Two (Old) 21,579 - 1988/1989 Division One (Old) 22,815 - Relegated in last place, ave gate of 27,000 (4th highest with three games to go then relegated, last three meaningless games in front of 14,000) 1987/1988 Division One (Old) 21,059 - Capacity between 23 and 27,000 the whole season due to the building of the Milburn Stand (financed by Beardsley's sale) Interesting you chose not to mention their 84, 85 or 86 average gates. 1984 for instance third highest average in the country (30,000) despite being in the second division. Leicester's averages for the seasons mentioned. 1991/1992 Division Two (Old) 15,185 1990/1991 Division Two (Old) 11,546 1989/1990 Division Two (Old) 11,700 1988/1989 Division Two (Old) 10,681 1987/1988 Division Two (Old) 10,700 Come back when you have an argument and don't illustrate to this board your talksport generation like stance eh? and compare the difference in ground capacities and it suggests actually our attendences were better

davieG Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Talking of fickle fans - Spurs booing Pav when he came on in the 73 minute by the end scores 2 goals - were they still booing?
howsyourfather Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 I'm not.I bet most kids at Burnley matches this season probably supported Man U or Liverpool until they got promoted, a la Peterborough's fanbase. This is definately the case, some lads i know from burnley suddenly became die hard fans when they went on that cup run last season. Before that they were Man U fans

The Doctor Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 How?? you ground holds round about 45000 does it not? Filbert street held about half that. Now then our attendences for that set of seasons were on average just above half of that for Newcastle meaning we were filling the tiniest % more of our ground than you were.
Guest Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 What about Norwich havent lost any fans average attendance 2000 higher than oursFew months ago went Norwich. Selling Season Tickets for £50 to concessions, and kids. Probably why Plus they start selling their tickets much earlier than we do. People would have renewed whilst Narch had a chance of staying up.
