LCFC-ARAB Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Premature like an absolute bitch I know, but how much would Wembley tickets cost? I went Millwall S****horpe last season and lower tear tickets for that were about 45 quid if i remember correctly top tier were 25 but that was league 1 playoff final not championship i could be completly wrong though
Ozwin Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 If we did make it I'm sure there'd be a prime section, preferably in the cheap seats ...right?
Chairman of the Bored Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Important now to keep our heads while the media appear to be losing theirs. Stay calm; keep your eyes on the prize; grasp it when it becomes available. Pearson needs to keep the lid on: "business as usual", "one game at a time"; getting Fryatt back will be a bonus. Many a slip twixt cup and lip. Don't apply undue pressure. Like I said, stay calm.................
Ford Super Sunday Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 "Promotion to the Premier League can be worth up to £60m to a football club, it has been estimated. The second-flight Championship teams who win a place get £30m from TV rights, as well as £5m from extra sponsorship and merchandising deals each season. Even those who are relegated after one season get £24m over the next two years, taking the total to about £60m, according to accountancy firm Deloitte." linkIs this your source? That's just made me realise that now we are where we are, we definitely won't be announcing next seasons shirt sponsor until after the season has ended.
davieG Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 That's just made me realise that now we are where we are, we definitely won't be announcing next seasons shirt sponsor until after the season has ended. I'm sure they'd be capable of agreeing different sums depending where we end up. Especially as the shirt is already designed and they just have to slap the logo on the front, they could practically have them for sale the minute the season ends.

Joe. Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Whatever will be will be We all know how the song goes, but how many of us actually thought we'd have a shot at Wembley glory at the beginning of the season? A handful of optimists is the most likely answer. Most of us would have been content with a top-half finish or even a season of safety and consolidation, but as usual those boys in Blue have surprised us all once again. Only this time, rather than pile a summer of misery on us for the umpteenth time it is quite the opposite. The season is far from over as we embark on a play-off challenge that could well end in spectacularly unexpected results. Say it very quietly, but we are now potentially three matches away from a return to the Premier League. Bitter memories of relegation to League One at Stoke City have been all but banished, even embraced by some. One step backwards to go two forwards and all that. It isn't difficult to realise that this has been the case with ourselves, so for the first time I'd actually quite like to give thanks to Ian Holloway for his incompetence. It's much appreciated Ian, honest. Ironically it could be Holloway's Blackpool who will join City in the play-offs this year as they currently occupy the final position after ousting Swansea from the prized spot at the weekend. Complete of course with in-form striker DJ Campbell, who could potentially propell the Seasiders past Nottingham Forest in the semi-finals should things work out that way. Back to matters on ourselves, regardless of events in the coming month it will have been an incredible season. The mere mention of the top six would have raised serious eyebrows of the realists among us, but to give credit where it is due we have been there seemingly from the word go. This consistency should not be underestimated either - going into the play-offs on good form is vital. So this is a call to the Walkers faithful come May 9th - whatever happens, do not boo the players off the pitch like fickle-minded morons should we not get the result we need. What Pearson and his side have done this season is brought back the smiles many of us had forgotten to use whilst watching Leicester City over the last six seasons. Building on top of successes last year, for the first time in far too long we finally have a team to be proud of. Que sera, sera...
