LCFC-ARAB Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 I love Nottingham Forest Can't wait for this
Mort Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Remember that Yeovil one Didn't they win the 1st leg by 2 goals aswell Weren't the two goals from the first leg own goals or something? I seem to remember there was something pretty unconvincing about the whole thing.
crisp monster Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Looking forward to tomorrow and although it's a tough one to call, i think we'll win 3-1 Bringing my 6 year old daughter so no swearing in the songs you feckers
lcfc_sam_p Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 i find it laughable that so many forest fans keep bangin on about how much they dont hate us..then why say it? Why would you get ur 2nd highest crowd of the season (after newcastle) against us. u forest fans have also said were just another game, well billy davies said this about derby too. Also why make the effort of creating a song..'we only hate derby' to tell us? went on the forest forum, and they seem to think that because we sold out our end in the 3-2 win (giving you a goal head start) and they had hardly any fans shows that we hate them but they dnt hate us. however last season we sold out for majority of away games, also a few this season, it just shows we have better fans if anything. as for the achievements..your all living in the past, your not a big club. you have been struggling in league one for a few years, a league that we walked all over. im sure if we beat you in the playoff final you will still be singing 'we only hate derby'
bigredone Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 hello Foxes.... yes im another forest fan but im not on here to wind you up! i was just reading your posts to see what you guys thought about tomorrows game and noticed the posts from other Forest fans. Your prob right that these guys wernt even born when we did the double in europe, i was around then and remember watching the open top bus going buy with the players holding the trophy and i met Brian Clough twice......My point is that if these guys had been around then and experianced this then they wouldnt be so cocky now...... Proud of it yes, but to throw it in everyones face is just setting us up because at least the last ten years have been an embaresment to all those like myself that can remember those days. I love Forest and for years have held a season ticket but i have to say that we were lucky to get promoted from L1 it was only because Donny messed up on the final game that we didnt end up in the play offs which we all know is a lottery and comes down to taktics, menality and lots of luck, this season i would have been happy finishing in mid table so to be where we are is a massive bonus but i still believe we will end up in the play off lottery. Our result against you was great for us but i believe if we played that game ten times over that result wouldnt happen again. I obviously hope we win tomorrow but my gut says hard fought draw 2-2. As for the rivalry issue yes we want to get one over on you because its a derby but the hate isnt their like it is with the sheep shaggers that is prob cus of the Clough connection and the fact that their fans seem to share a brain cell! BUT we still want to beat YOU I think it will be a great game and im supprise the powers that be didnt move the time to put it on the telly
Craig Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Just out of interest is Pearson a Forest fan? He is i think, seems to ring a bell.
Scow Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 He is i think, seems to ring a bell. I thought it was Notts County? I vaguely remember him talking about his dad and his connection to the club...
bigredone Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Are any of you guys going to the game? Forest fans need to be an away member and have been to 5 away games to qualify to apply for a ticket!
Fosse Boy Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Are any of you guys going to the game? Forest fans need to be an away member and have been to 5 away games to qualify to apply for a ticket! Their club obviously don't see it as a big fixture then...
C-man Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Are any of you guys going to the game? Nah we've sold out so none of us on here could get tickets.
bigredone Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Their club obviously don't see it as a big fixture then... We started it with the Derby game, usualy season ticket holders get first refusal on away tickets but they saw away to make more money by bringing out away membership as well, We have to prove we have been to at least 5 away games then send in a cheque for the price of the ticket then they decide who gets a ticket and return the cheques to unsuccessful applicants!
Tommeh Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Are any of you guys going to the game? Forest fans need to be an away member and have been to 5 away games to qualify to apply for a ticket! lol HUGE support that, another thing to add to my list of "why I envy Notts Forest. Mate of mine said the other day tickets were harder to get than Derby away ones, fuc k off are they...this is just another game at a poor relation who don't even deserve to be in the same league structure as the mighty Nottingham Forest. Oh and 1-0 Kingy please.

Craig Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 At least you guys gave us a decent allocation Derby only gave us a couple thousand....Scared we would out sing them i suppose Probably, seeing as you couldn't outscore them
bigredone Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Probably, seeing as you couldn't outscore them Now now lets not get started on scores

bigredone Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 IT NEVER HAPPENED It felt like a dream at the time but im sure it did Cant see it happening tomorrow though 2-2 i think
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 It felt like a dream at the time but im sure it did Cant see it happening tomorrow though 2-2 i think You mean today... I'd settle for that. I work in Notts and alot of Forest fans have said they think we'll do them tomorrow today, wonder if they are genuine, or a bit of reverse psychology? I rekon this game will be the tight game predicted in Dec.

I rekon this game will be the tight game predicted in Dec. didnt realise what time it was i think most are being genuine, to be honest theirs not alot between us when we both play as well as we can, december was a one off as i said in previous post if we replayed that game 10 times we wouldnt beat you like that again, you had a bad day and we had a great day, i just hope it doesnt reverse today!
Scow Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Well, we did win our last home game 5-1... Draw seems the most likely result though - Forest want to avoid a fourth away defeat in a row and we probably won't have enough about us to break them down.

Its going to be hard for us, you have the motivation of revenge and your fans will be well up for it. We will prob be a bit nervous because of our recent away form so i think we will be quite defensive and try to nick goals on the break, i dont think earnshaw will start, prob blackstock as a lone striker and a 5 man midfield, the first goal will be really important to both sides

He ran our defence last time.
