C-man Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 To be fair nobody in the Midlands knows who their main rivals are these days! What? Villa-Birmingham Wolves-West Brom Forest-Derby 3 requited hatreds there for a start.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 I see our big rivals as Forest. I grew up at school in Melton Mowbray, and the school was plagued with forest fans. Most of these were not real fans. Most of these were Man United/Leicester/Arsenal 'fans' who went with their mates, to watch the games and get hammered after the match regardless of the result, Thats probably where my hate for Forest comes from, the pricks who constantly would take the piss out of you everyday for being a Leicester Fan. At least we're real fans
Guest Bilo Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 I find it funny when lads who clearly weren't even alive through the Cloughy era harp on about Forest being famous or having some marvellous history. The only reason Clough is regarded as a brilliant manager is that he took some tinpot, shitbag, second division team to Europe and won. Impressive, don't get me wrong, the man was a genius. But harping on that you're some massive, famous club as a result actually, ironically, diminishes his achievement. Absolutely spot on. You'll have a hard time convincing the Gunlovers however.
southdevonfox Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 who cares if forest dont hate us , does this mean the forest fans will be giving us big hugs ,,,,when we beat them ,,,,,
DB11 Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 These are the officials if they have not already been mentioned:Referee Lee Probert Assistant 1 Andy Garratt Assistant 2 Stephen Artis 4th Offical Darren Deadman Premiership match officials The 4th Official has refereed us this season, so it shows he's a Football League referee as 4th official too. The appointers rate it as a big game!

iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 The Walkers is a fortress. The Forest fans won't be heard
lcfc_jme Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 Oh you'll be fine! Considering I live in Nottingham and interact with numerous Forest fans on a daily basis, and they all know I'm a big Leicester fan, somehow I really doubt that. Especially considering the treatment I got when we were murdered that day in December. Seriously, losing is not an option. I don't give 2 shits if they "only hate Derby", I fucking despise those branch wankers with a passion.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 One thing I do like is that, after reading several forums, Forest make a big deal out of making sure they categorically state to each other how much they 'don't care' about us. I'm not too fussed about Forest personally, but I like the fact they all are so desperate and clamour to say that they don't care about us (only for one person to want to send bogus mail and pizzas to a bunch of Leicester fans in Nottingham ) Surely if we're not that big-a-deal, they should be focusing on the match, not continually justifying to each other that they only hate Derby, and not us.
KFS Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 Don't worry lads, they'll suddenly hate us if they win on Saturday.
jonthefox Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 Please , please , please let this be a win. If not im going to be a right moody tw@t all weekend. I reckon a tough game , with a newcastle/leeds type atmosphere, so im going for 1-0 .waggy to score.
maddog Posted 25 February 2010 Author Posted 25 February 2010 Probert sent Boateng off earlier in the season for jumping up to try and win a header. A claim for wrongful dismissal was upheld and Boatengs 3 match ban then withdrawn by the FA. So possibly one of the worst PL referees could be coming to town. Thats the only info i can find on him, a red card that was wrong from this season anyway.
StanSP Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 If you can't find much about him, he can't be THAT bad, as much more publicity would have been given to him.
maddog Posted 25 February 2010 Author Posted 25 February 2010 If you can't find much about him, he can't be THAT bad, as much more publicity would have been given to him. As long as he lets the game flow. The Newcastle ref should have given a lot more free kicks and not given a few, but the game had a much faster tempo and it was better and more exciting to watch. Any small foul, or small medium foul, possibly even medium foul, just let it all go and the game will flow

Any small foul, or small medium foul, possibly even medium foul, just let it all go and the game will flow It's going to be a fiesty local derby. He should keep this in mind. But with a dodgy ref, We could end up with a few players sent off. As long as their wearing red, I couldn't care less. He'll have the home crowd against him, if he has any decisions to be made against leicester, he'll bottle it.
Ozwin Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 He'll have the home crowd against him, if he has any decisions to be made against leicester, he'll bottle it. My arse will he, we've had some of the worst refs in existance this season and at times the whole stadium has been on their backs. I can't think of any times we've won anything contentious like a penalty though, we just don't get the luck like some other clubs.
MONreborn Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 It's effectively a sell out, only single seats left....
philce Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 Considering I live in Nottingham and interact with numerous Forest fans on a daily basis, and they all know I'm a big Leicester fan, somehow I really doubt that. Craig Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 Just call them Notts Forest, they hate that!!!! Why would they hate that? That's their name, that.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 God PLEASE let this be a win... my mate will give me absolute hell if we don't. That and it'd be nice to draw even closer to them in the league and perhaps put up a late push for the automatics... yes, perhaps far-fetched, but not outside the realms of possibility.
RedHux Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Just call them Notts Forest, they hate that!!!! It's true.
lcfcadam Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Flight back from Madrid landing at 9AM at London City Airport, then DLR, tube and train back to Leicester hopefully in time to start drinking at 12. If anything goes wrong, I'll die inside...
teblin Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 The one thing I don't understand if they "don't care about us" why are they compelled to come on our forums and tell us?
Guest Bilo Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 The one thing I don't understand if they "don't care about us" why are they compelled to come on our forums and tell us? Probably because it's bollocks and/or as an insurance policy for if they lose the game.
Babylon Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 Looking forward to this, not been able to make many matches since xmas.
