fordy_uk2005 Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 1.0 will do , and it will go along way in the recovery process after the nightmare at their ground , i`m sure they will remind us of the score come sat, 1.0 win and promotion through the playoffs , c`mon leicester this game is obviously massive even more so with us still in such a position. lets hope nige drills into them how much they took the piss out of us and that makes us come out with great intent. i for one am personally quietly confident
fordy_uk2005 Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 lets do it for bobby smith. a minute silence is always good for getting the atmophere buzzing. 2-1 city
lcfc"weasel" Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 Fancy either 1-0 or 2-0 to city tbh, would take a draw though.
Guest Bilo Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 With Forest looking so indifferent away from home since the Derby defeat, and the home pastings they were dishing out seemingly dried up, the last thing they'll fancy is a trip to resurgent local rivals embarking on their own unbeaten run in front of a near capacity crowd. That however is what they have got and the measure of how good they really are, without the momentum generated by their earlier confidence will be how they react. They wilted in a similar atmosphere at Pride Park, and that was at the peak of their powers where many had promoted them already. The loss of Nicky Shorey appears to have hit them for six, and I can't imagine Dyer and N'Guessan will bemoan the lack of a proper left-back. Their pace could hurt Forest in a big way, and a back four that looks hard work to get past won't please the Forest front line. Having said all this, they didn't go on a 20 game unbeaten run for no reason. We were raped at the City Ground in the reverse fixture in every way imaginable and made them look awesome for 90 minutes. They may not score too many away from home but they don't concede many either, so the crowd could well become impatient as we take our time breaking their tough defences down. They are still dangerous in spite of everything, and Majewski looks a Premiership player in waiting. It's a tough one to call just as any other derby, but with the respective forms of the two teams going into the game and the home crowd creating a decent atmosphere, I'm going for the narrowest of City wins. 1-0 with a goal from Dyer as Forest's lack of a left-back costs them dear.
leicesterseddon Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 It's interesting reading their forums, there's a topic dedicated to why they're not rivals with us, hilarious really. You'd have thought it was the other way round. Happens literally every time we play them. Thing is, even as a Leicester fan I can realise why Derby-Forest is a more intense rivalry given the geographical proximity, shared history with Clough, etc. What irks me is their pretty superficial attempts to count playing us as 'just another game' when it clearly isn't. What makes me laugh is the insistence from some that they have a keener rivalry with Sheffield Utd., whose visit last week attracted only 22k
Finnegan Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 This is bigger than leeds game last year, such an amazing atmosphere against leeds, lets hope for the same . Can still remember and always will remember the roof literally lifting when howard scored, im going to say 2-1 to us, Gallagher and N'guassen scoring! People really abuse 'literally.'
maddog Posted 24 February 2010 Author Posted 24 February 2010 http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=15210 Theres the thread with them saying they don't care about us. I'm sure when we thrash them Saturday they will hate us then
Aeropars Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 I can't say I have any more hate for them than what I do any other teams. In all honesty, I find the whole hatred thing pretty pathetic. I want city to beat every team as much as the next really. The only time I get riled is when an opposing player or manager says something derogatory about us, then my blood boils.
Legend_in_blue Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 We will win this game. Enough said on the matter.
lcfcadam Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=15210Theres the thread with them saying they don't care about us. I'm sure when we thrash them Saturday they will hate us then Whether they actually mean what they say or they just say it because they think it somehow annoys Leicester fans - it really doesn't bother me either way. I always like games between teams in the near vicinity, because they almost always mean bigger crowds and a bit of good local banter. The fact that Forest's biggest home attendence so far after Newcastle was us suggests that there is some reason they all want to watch their team play us though... I'm looking forward to the match cos I want to get one over on a team that have been doing well (ala QPR last year), and cos major drinking's involved before and after.
Corky Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 I really wouldn't get so worked up about what they say- so some of them don't care about us? That's their opinion. I'm sure there's plenty of Leicester supporters who feel the same about Forest.
Tommeh Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 Fu.ck the table and play-off push for one afternoon and saying "a draw would be ok, if cardiff or Middlesborough lose etc." We must win this game! I like many others know too many of their fans and suffered too much abuse through December to fancy a repeat come Monday. This is the main rivallry for me and we must win to restore pride after the humiliation at their gaff.
ousefox Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 These are the officials if they have not already been mentioned: Referee Lee Probert Assistant 1 Andy Garratt Assistant 2 Stephen Artis 4th Offical Darren Deadman

Many in South Leicestershire for example consider Coventry to be the bigger derby, whereas some take the attitude of them 'not giving a stuff about us so we won't give a stuff about them.' I personally find that quite hard to believe given the number of moronic trolls like PSYCHO and Forest Rob infesting this forum pre and post game in December, and the Facebook statii of Forest supporting friends who clearly sat in a puddle of their own lukewarm semen for 90 minutes at the City Ground. They care about us in the same way that Man United care about Man City and Leeds when they play. Pretend they don't care right up until they beat us, and get all excited when they do, then move back to not caring when they lose the game. The attendance for the December match tells a different story.

Dylan Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 They're a good side, with pace. However, they've lost their 3 last away games and its their home form that has got them in the position they're in. We're unbeaten in 7 league games, and unbeaten in our last 7 home games. I reckon it'll be a fierce derby, resulting in a 1-1 draw. Hopefully am wrong and we win!
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 Well it's just a bit of banter for me, no hatred at all. I'm travelling down with 10 forest fans and going to the pub with them before the game. They didn't give me too much shite when they thrashed us, and I won't them should we return the favour. I wouldn't just say it's another game because it's clearly not, the crowds for both teams at both games suggets it's a bigger than average game, the same can be said for Derby. Whatever let's just get three points on Sat
AmericanScott Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 We're going to win. But if Forest win, please be 4-0 so my 4 match accy is still on for £800.
the mighty boosh Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 Can I repost this here as more people seem to be reading this.... Evening gents... I've just managed to get myself 3 tickets for Saturday online. I recieved an email saying that it will be posted to my home in the next 5 days. However, if I purchased my ticket less than 3 days before a matchday then it is availible from the ticket office. Now this wouldn't normally be a problem but I am not going to be at home Saturday morning I shall be in Leicester at a friends. If I can pick it up at the ground then no problem. But I would be buggered if they got sent to my house on Saturday morning!! Thanks

the mighty boosh Posted 24 February 2010 Posted 24 February 2010 Cheers mate will do. I just hope they haven't sent it off by the time I call!
Fosse Boy Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 The F*rest lad I know down here has been banging on about how this is the game he's been looking forward to more than any other this season. So yeah, just to reiterate, they definitely don't care. We HAVE to win this, bit I think it'll be 1-1.
Tommeh Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 I was called "scum" and "ready for your 2nd hiding saturday binrobber" off a good mate earlier. They're such a cool bunch these Trees arn't they? I envy them to fu.ck.
lcfc_jme Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 If we lose on Saturday I might actually completely die inside. I cannot even begin to imagine what a defeat on Saturday would do to me. It just can't happen. It's unthinkable.
