Paulmot Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Indeed and the sceptics might be worried that the club won't be better off once he leaves. He might also be the next Simon Jordan. We don't know do we? We can just pray that it all works out. If alarm bells are seriously ringing, I doubt that all fans will 'go with the flow' and idly watch as the club disintegrates... Are you a reporter? as you only cherry picked parts of my post. You are right we do not know and may not know for a long while. I was only suggesting to go with the flow for now. As we all know every river has eddies that change direction so might we. Biggest fear I have is that untill something is seriously wrong we will not know anyway. Not sure what we could do if they did. At the minute I am like the fence sitter edging my bets. But I still think we should enjoy the moment at present.

No, I just didn't want to quote it all as it wasn't relevant to my answer I agree with you, we should enjoy the moment, while 'keeping an eye out' for potential warning signs. Otherwise, as you say, we won't know until it's too late.
Jordan Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 If we got promoted I wonder if we would pay off the stadium straight off?People are too quick to shoot down Mandaric. If it wasnt for a wealthy backer like him, I believe that we would be insolvant. "Anywhere but in the Premier League, this stadium is a liability financially because you have to service it."We have a £17.5m debt that has to be serviced. "But in 10 years it could be a real asset and you could have something that is making you money and is profitable. "There is no money in football unless you are in the Premier League, and even there you have to be careful. I've been saying for over a year that if we're promoted on May 22nd at Wembley, Milan will start looking for buyers on the 24th and recoup some cash. Milan Mandaric is almost like a venture capitalist of football.
Chrysalis Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 You think he's like some mad old bint leaving his money to the cat home? Ace. no I think due to the credit crunch, noone would lend the club money so he has been forced to put his own in, so hes decided to get good PR out of it. end of the day he is keeping the club afloat at the moment so fair play to him.
