Forlan was brilliant tonight. I feel for the SA team though, they play with so much passion, but at the end of the day, if they don't have a strong footballing ability, they are not

going to do very well.

Shame for South Africa... however, I'm still not giving up hope on them beating a team like France who don't play a particularly fast paced game like Uruguay do.

So if Mexico/France ends a draw, Uruguay beat Mexico and South Africa beat France, hey presto! Good stuff! :scarf:

South Africa didn't deserve anything from tonight's game sadly, and their defence was badly exposed. They struck a bit lucky in their first match, but a combination of things have unlocked them this evening. I can see another heavy scoreline against the French if they're not very careful.

As for Uruguay it was a very tidy performance, and they look well poised to have a real shout at topping the group. If France draw tomorrow night then I can see the South Americans taking it.

Suarez is a massive bellend though. Always on the floor, it's ridiculous.

I think I actually managed to hear Uruguay's fans after their third went in. God bless those fickle vuvuzela blowers for leaving early.

If South Africa beat France they should still go through.

Would they go through on head to head if they beat France and France beat Mexico or is it goal difference first :dunno:

It's head to head in Champs League init blad

That was never a penalty, but when you have the TV replay at hand, you can't blame the referee for falling for a South American swallow (even if the ref's Swiss).

Forlan's first - what a cracker. Took a slight deflection, what skill does it take to get that done.

And did you notice how quickly and effectively it silenced the Vuvuzuela brigade?trumpet.gif

The utter silence when Uruguay scored was brilliant. After Forlan scored his 2nd [pen] you could actually hear the Uruguayan fans cheering and celebrating. lol
