orangecity23 Posted 16 June 2010 Posted 16 June 2010 Need to get an irritating electrical fault fixed on my Focus, but I don't have a favoured garage, so I'm open to suggestions. It needs to be a place that are Ford specialists. I could take it to Sandicliffe, but I'm a bit wary of getting charged an arm and a leg there. Does anyone know a good reliable place in Leicester? Thanks in advance, my fellow foxestalkers!
Webbo Posted 16 June 2010 Posted 16 June 2010 I always use Hastik's on Devonshire Rd. They're not Ford specialists but they've always been alright with me.
rico Posted 16 June 2010 Posted 16 June 2010 Weavers Garage on Oakland Rd,my mate takes his Mrs Focus there, says they're quite reasonable too!
Tabou Posted 17 June 2010 Posted 17 June 2010 Try the garage in Sileby, near the indoor car wash. His name is Scott. Awesome.
croftfox Posted 17 June 2010 Posted 17 June 2010 east green garage in hinckley are really cheep. they changed a bulb for me before and didnt charge me a penny. i know its a bit of a way out of leicester mind. :-)
samjohnson Posted 17 June 2010 Posted 17 June 2010 H.P Welding on Rolleston Street, off St Barnabas Road. Guys name is Harry. Brilliant guy, always a cheap deal and does a bloody good job. Map
Zingari Posted 17 June 2010 Posted 17 June 2010 if it's an electrical problem you may be better off going to a specialist auto electrician such as Leicester Auto Electrical on Melton Road vehicle elecs are pretty complex on modern cars
orangecity23 Posted 17 June 2010 Author Posted 17 June 2010 Its a pretty simple electrical fault, it should be a simple changing of the 'generic electrical module' . It's dead easy to get to, but apparently you need to copy the settings to the new one. The kind of job that takes 5 mins, and Ford would charge a bloody bomb for. Bah! Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll have a ring round and try and get some quotes
