Jon the Hat Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 The costs at double the revenue is not good reading.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Footballers are killing the golden goose. There are players in League 1 and maybe even league 2 that are getting paid more than the people who run the country. I know the footballers career can be very short, but that can't be right.

Well it's not as if they are not capable of doing another job afterwards after all many people in the country have been and are continuing to be forced into changing their careers, the government are even putting pressure on them to up sticks and move to a completely different community so I'm afraid the short career is redundant as many peoples' jobs are.
Alexikokopops Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 The costs at double the revenue is not good reading. According to that our wages alone are more than our total revenue! I'm intrigued about "other costs". Those alone are only just less than our total income.
Lillehamring Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 how did derby make 12M more in media than us, is this from when we were in L1? EDIT: these figures are from 2008 accounts, if i remember correctly the loss last year was down to 6M from 2008's 14M, which is creditable, especially since attendances/media have been worse due to our stint in L1
Lillehamring Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 considering the debt, i assume our's is largely made up of the stadium, if so it's interesting to see that Hull's is in a similar ballpark to ours, without such a significant single debt....
