earthworm Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Ay up Leicester fans, Popped over to ask about how you see the month going for the East Midlands. I'll quote the most interesting answer on the Forest forum. Thought it'd be interesting to see from different points of view. This months one ought to be particularly interesting, though hard to judge because there's no idea of form up to now. Here's the fixtures for the East Midlands' Championship clubs ... Leicester: Palace (A), Middlesbrough (H), Burnley (A), Reading (H) D*rby: Leeds (A), Cardiff (H), Coventry (A), QPR (H) Forest: Burnley (A), Leeds (H), Reading (A), Norwich (H) * Who do you think's got the toughest run in there? * How do you see the results going for each club and who do you think will have the best start to the season? * What do you think to your own pre season (signings, results ...) and the ones your rivals have had?
Callabinho Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 All three run-ins are tough to be fair! And it will prove to be a stern test for the both of us to see if we can carry on where we left off, personally I think both Leicester and Forest will do well, despite the lack of new faces we have the core of our team sill, and the same goes for you! I expect us to be more attacking however I can see us conceding more this year than we did last! Let’s just hope our defence is as solid as it was last year! For you its, if your youngsters can handle the pressure! When you’re on form you could easily rip any team in this league to pieces as you did to us at the city ground! When your tails are down your very easy to play against as you witnessed at the walkers! I think not going up will do us the world of good; we have young squads full of desire and hunger! I imagine us both to look to improve on last season’s disappointment and have a successful season! To be honest id love to see us both battling it out in the top flight and leave Derby and Cov down to rot! All the best for the new season.
h1210 Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Shove your Forest Forum up your fooking arse. Eloquent
dandannieldanok Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 They're all very tough starts in my opinion, with perhaps Forest just about having the 'easiest' fixtures. Apart from Palace, we've got 3 teams who'll be expecting to be in the play-off mix-up at least. I think the biggest problem that could harm Leicester and Forest is expectations, and it will be crucial that the fans rein them in if these starts do prove to be as tough as they look. Derby will also have quite high expectations on them because I'm sure their fans are growing sick and tired of the way they've performed since being relegated a couple of seasons back. As for pre-seasons, neither of the 3 clubs have been at all active really in buying and selling, which is probably a blessing in disguise. If you care to listen to Nigel Clough's pre-season bleatings then you'd be expecting Derby not to turn up with any fit players to their first game but that's quite obviously the old 'poor-us' routine.
Nick Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Shove your Forest Forum up your fooking arse. You really are a tool.

Bettsj2 Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Now you are a massive tool. Sorry about that. Not been posting for long so I was just testing the sensitivity of Foxes Talk as a whole as the Fosse Boys thread was getting really tetchy. Now I have my answer. No genuine offence intended to anyone.
Bettsj2 Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 You can really tell when the summer holidays for schools are here cant you! I'm actually 31 and work in a financial services office. But you are correct in what you say. The lack of traffic is shortening my journey time by at least 20 minutes.
Guest Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Sorry dude but none of that makes any sense. He's saying grow up. All the Forest fan was asking was how we thought the month would go and you've gone right off the deep end
Nick Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 You can really tell when the summer holidays for schools are here cant you! Yeah the chav bouncy castle must have got a puncture - he probably couldn't read the signs that said 'No shoes'. I nominate him as the Fosse Boys new spokesperson I think he'd be excellent.

Get a proper job you parasite.

Bettsj2 Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 So you are one of those pricks that phones me up to try and sell me shit that I don't want or need. Get a proper job you parasite. No I dont ring anybody. People send me information regarding their business activities and I visit them and oversee their activity for a couple of days. I then assess their risk both materially and financially and recommend to them steps they can take to reduce risks both of a material nature and a financial nature. I agree that the ehtos of call centre sales staff is parsasitical, but it is not the fault of the advisor. Please bear in mind that the people who call you are actually employed and contributing tax to the state rather than claiming benefit and indeed being a parasite.
Houdini Logic Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Please bear in mind that the people who call you are actually employed and contributing tax to the state rather than claiming benefit and indeed being a parasite. That was my argument for allowing Harold Shipman to keep practicing, but people just can't see the bigger picture these days
Bettsj2 Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 That was my argument for allowing Harold Shipman to keep practicing, but people just can't see the bigger picture these days Good comeback. Although Harold Shipman did actually kill people rather than just interupt them whilst they are watching Emmerdale.
Houdini Logic Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Good comeback. Although Harold Shipman did actually kill people rather than just interupt them whilst they are watching Emmerdale. Slightly over the top I admit, but my main point being that just because people contribute to society in a certain way doesn't mean that they have a golden ticket to do what they want. And I'd actually rather be killed than spend a night without my beloved Emmerdale

And I'd actually rather be killed than spend a night without my beloved Emmerdale I'd have to agree. The story lines are fairly poor but the abundance of tasty women on Emmerdale is far higher than any other soap currently on television, and that includes Hollyoaks!

Last time I saw a bit of Emmerdale, I thought the acting was poor, and 3/4 people were gay or bisexual!
Jodranadinho Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 well this topics gone off track... yeah I think that all 3 run in's are quite tough with forest's slightly easier, but in the championship anything happens and I'm sure every team will feel they've got a chance to do something in the first month.
