1.4 L Reg Ford Escort

Morning All.

Just wondering if any of you folks out there have ever had a 1.4 L Reg Escort.

Have been offered one pretty cheap but does need some work (a bit of welding and some tyres for MOT).

L reg will be the middle version of the 3 that the last Escort came in. The first was a bit of a dog, but the middle one (1992-1995) was much improved.

Mind you, bearing in mind that it's going to be at least 16 years old, unless it's been very well looked after I cannot imagine it's got much life left in it

but it blew a leak and ended up costing him millions

If it needs welding steer clear it's a license to lose money!

My Ka needed welding and they couldn't tell me what it would cost until they started (scam). It cost me over £700!

Get a Fiesta

I have a Mk4 one 1999. Done just over 70k now. Fantastic reliable little car. Also if its a first car their pretty nippy too! Saying that I'm just biased and I do like Escorts, Though as FoxyPV says, if it needs welding then it is probably best to stay away.

Seats in as new condition, due to seat covers. You've got to love the old folk
