Madrid_Fox Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 I have decided this has gone on long enough. Someone bought me a bottle of Madeira wine back from their holiday in July. I then put it straight into the fridge and vowed 'im not opening that until Paulo Sousa gets his firt league win with Leicester' Now I am not the superstitious type. However, I need room in the fridge. Would it be a bad omen to open the little bugger and just drink it or do I actually have to wait now? Whilst on that topic, do any of you have superstitions on match days?
Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 It might not be a great idea if you're at work, but that may depend on what job you do. Monday lunchtime drinking - it's been a while for me, for certain. In ye olden days if I was ever in town I would touch the football on the sporting achievement statue or whatever it's called next to the Clock Tower, and this would ensure a good result in City's next fixture. This was particularly effective for cup games, so basically what I'm saying is that I should take some of the credit for those League Cup wins. Don't all rush to thank me, you devils. I haven't touched the statue for ages so that might explain why we've generally been a bit shit over the last few years
Kilworthfox Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Pop it and indulge the alcoholism May as well get it down ya neck before the game pal
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Really thought this would be a 'By 10pm Tuesday will Sousa have job' kind of poll. Must say I'm relieved.

Lillehamring Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 i'd keep it in the fridge, if we win you can drink it, if we don't win you'll probably want to drink it... or you could put it in the cellar and wait till it becomes vintage, it might take that long.
