Wycombe Fox Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 I don't get to many games because of where I live but this week I'm doing two games back-to-back at Fratton Park. I want to sing 'til it hurts. The trouble is, I'm out of touch with the songs. Could anyone post lyrics on here or PM me please? My 'kop' days were about 25 years ago!
Lester LXXIV Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 I'm the same mate. I live 5 minutes from Fratton Park and I'm looking forward to the prospect of seeing my team twice in 4 days!
Wycombe Fox Posted 20 September 2010 Author Posted 20 September 2010 No songs? Sod it then - I'll just sing a few random Beatles numbers or maybe something by Cheryl Tweedy.
Messi Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Wouldn't worry too much about songs mate. The ones we will only sing are: - Sousa's Barmy Army - Leicester, Leicester, Leicesterrrr, Leicester... - 1-0 down, who gives a fook... (Hopefully we won't be singing that) - A few players songs Don't worry your little head about learning the lyrics, they are always simple with our fans
1964FOX Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 In view of the ground we are visiting I am sure there will be a rendition of my garden shed.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Poor old Pompey, Pompey poor old.... Cotterill is a willy puller He wear's a wankers hat He walked out at Notts County What a fooking twat Now he's down at Pompey And right down on his luck Let's laugh at Stevie Cotterill He's gonna get the sack.... We heard you ran from the Scummers, ran from the Scummers.... Next year you'll lose to the Bournemouth, lose to the Bournemouth... Small town in Brighton, you're just a small town in Brighton....
Wycombe Fox Posted 22 September 2010 Author Posted 22 September 2010 Someone appears to have stolen my voice overnight Cracking sing-song especially 'Yuki Abe - he'll eat your ****ing dog'
Zingari Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 to the tune of pompey chimes skatebait skatebait you're all skatebait pompey fans will be well aware that "skatebait" is a term used for their citizens who cater for the various needs of sailors on leave
Finnegan Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Someone appears to have stolen my voice overnight Cracking sing-song especially 'Yuki Abe - he'll eat your ****ing dog' Wow, culturally insensitive AND factually inacurate, brilliant! That's a Korean stereotype and the Japanese and Koreans are both distinctly different and big rivals. It'd be like singing the German bombers song to Poland fans. Sooner or later the lad will learn English and I hope our fans aren't still singing that. Talk about cringey.
